???'s about Poly. vs. Grand Floridian

Ok. Looks like we will be going to WDW June 6-13. Using the 4/3 offer. The 11th is hubby's birthday. Now the big question is...should we go for the Poly (and if so should we upgrade the theme park view?) or should we go for the Grand Floridian?
Family includes my husband and two daughters 8 & 12--oh yeah me too!
We have stayed at all the values, OKW, and Coronado.

We have visited both the Poly and Grand Floridian. Our favorite parks are MK, Epcot, MGM and then AK. Since we haven't stayed at either of these resorts were unsure which to try first. And I'd like to get my final decision really final before springing yet another change on Pam!

LOL Pam, it's me, Dwarful/Carrie, how many trips have I booked through you??? How many changes have I had to make each and every trip? That's why I thought I'd get some opinions here before I made the final call to you to book the trip! lol

We've stayed at the GF on all but two trips over a 20 year span. It's nice from an adult's perspective. It does have the family pool with the water slide to make it more kid friendly and a couple other things. The GF is the last stop for the buses to take you to AK, DHS or DTD so you don't have to wait while the bus taxis to the different hotels to get to those destinations. You also have MK as your first stop on the monorail and the TTC to EPCOT is three stops.

I can't comment on the Poly, but it is the cheaper of the two and as other people have posted it's a good hotel on its own right.
