I'm a frequent visitor of the Runners World web site but I've never been moved to participate on any of the forums there. I agree that this place is special. I guess it's the Disney lover in all of us!

Holy crap, I'm over on that Runner's World forum as well...what a bunch of pretentious jerks. This is where it's at. It doesn't matter if you're a newbie or an ultra marathoner, everyone counts.
i wouldn't dare think of going on a real runner's forum.
I don't even (i'm a bit ashamed to admit this) have any underwear designed specifically for running.

The best past of that web site is Kristen Armstrong's blog. She has a special gift for words and running/life metaphors. It particularly resonates with me as a runner who is a mother of young children. I highly recommend it to everyone on this forum.
Certainly there are good folks who right columns. I just don't care for the pretentious regulars who post. I hear enough of it on race days, I don't want to read it too!
Hands down, this forum is the most encouraging and most fun. Thanks everyone!
