It's all Chris Pratt's fault.

Dinosaur Dundee
This was such an overrated and stupid concept. The new movies were a joke in comparison to the original Jurassic Park.

Sucks that people want Indy to replace this. The dino theme has so much potential in AK, they just need to dump Dinorama, refurbish Dinosaur (maybe change the story away from the movie), and add in a new prehistoric attraction. Just feel like kids love dinosaurs and re imagining the area would be a good idea. Not to mention it would compete with the rumored Jurassic World expansion at IOA. But if that spare Carno head ever goes up on eBay, I'm calling dibs.

It would be nice to see a ride state what it is promised..

Because if JP can do it since the Dinos act like what they did in the Movie the boat ride would be riding It's a Small World..........With Dinos...

Is Dinosaur seriously in bad condition again? I was there last June and the ride was looking great.

Yup. Just rode it on Tuesday and from a newcomers point of view it was too dark, the figures were static, and the experience was overall disappointing.

CM we talked to nearly apologized for how bad of a condition it was in and certainly agreed.

Static figures are the worst. I remember back in 2011 when I visited IOA that the T-Rex on River Adventure was static. At first I thought the commercials ripped us off until I saw some on-ride videos of the AA in full motion. But it especially sucks to see the Carnotaurs go static during the ride, theyre incredible AAs.

I suppose he's been down for longer than that (maybe not malfunctioning every day though), as our January 11th-13th trip had a static chasing Carno, too. A few YouTube videos taken after those dates also showed the static back-up Carno still being used during rides.

It's really unfortunate that he's not functioning 😢 I know this ride has issues often, but I hope that doesn't jeopardize its position in the park when it comes to how often tweaks need to be made to ensure working order. I feel like this ride could really blow people away if it was working at its best 24/7.

Since December? Really??? The ride has seen some big increase in wait times since that Dino party thing started, I've got to say... It'd be GREAT if it got a huge refurb. Literally take the AAs out and REALLY Work on em. God please.

I'm shocked. I work on Pirates and if a 101 figure (any figure that is critical to a show scene... The mist screen, auctioneer, ect.) is not working, a coordinator makes a decision and we have to shut the ride down and fix it. Why can't they do this with Dinosaur?

While we're discussing problem's with Dino, has anyone else noticed the sound effects for the first time warp have not been working properly since the last refurbishment? Should be a relatively easy fix, they probably just forgot. It's easy to tell the difference in sounds between these two vids (especially when leaving the time machine):

Post refurb:

Pre refurb:

I know it's super minor but it's been bugging me since the last few times I've rode it. The old sounds used to give me chills.

That’s the important part.

Management discretion based on the variables we both know about.

CM told me not to keep our hopes up. They won't close a ride in a popular park with so few rides, so they just took out the dino animatronic and are re-welding carnotoraus for now. Dinosaur was a sad, sad experience. Everest needs a refurbishement just as bad but you all already knew that.
