I am thinking this field is more normal and people are wary about it actually happening. SW also doesn't tend to be the most popular of the 4 weekends.

I’m planning on possibly taking part in the rival run and kessel in 2022. We shall see, if I can complete this virtual half (I should be able to as I am training) then I’ll consider myself ready.

I think this one has a good chance of happening as well. Maybe Princess is the first race to go. The full registration observation is also interesting. Makes sense.
Marathon is the one I think will he swapped to virtual but maybe it happens? My gut says no.

Try the 2018 Princess Half.....
A virtual Full? That's not going to go down well. The Full is a qualifier for Boston.
It's the same. At least in the past year or two.

I don’t know how they would handle it but that is a good point.
Sunny, mid to upper 80s, humidity near that. Not a cloud in the sky. Yellow flag. Miserable race. And I emptied the bladder in my hydration vest.
If it becomes a virtual, then it can't be used for Boston.

Sounds like marathon day this year (got up to 84F) when they cut the last three miles for half the field because so many people were passing out, and that was January, I’d hate to see what an unseasonably hot April day could get to!
And the flag that day was red.

Something interesting I noticed. When I checked my registration on the virtual half marathon before taking you right to your info their is a submenu saying “you can submit your time starting January“. I don’t remember the exact date that submenu definitely didn’t exist before on other virtual events.
Also interesting the website doesn’t list the price of the virtual till you go in.

As of 2:59 the rival run challenge is gone.
But the 10k is still available. Usually that goes before the Challenge, given the number of bibs reserved for the challenge.

Checked my registration email for the virtual half. I think it has been changed so the bib is though your account rather then it being an open download.
EDIT: This is just what I think judging by the email maybe even makes sense with that submenu.
