I’m sure it will all make sense during the actual race, but the steps for the mobile app aspect of the 5K are needlessly stressing me out, lol! I kind of miss the old cards that you’d be handed at each stop.

I get that they probably don’t want runners stopping and solving clues every few feet, but I’m curious how this will work post-race. In the past, you’d go back into the park and end at Dinoland, but they’ve left it a little ambiguous this time. I’m sure they don’t want runners and clue-seekers bumping into each other. 🤔

Very confusing.

I've got my schedule for the 5k and 10k. I'm working 6p-3a (3AM??!!) on Thursday and 2a-8a on Saturday. HOW LONG are they going to give ya'll for the scavenger hunt??!!

As they don't want us doing the hunt while we are running, sounds like 2 hours.

What would the downside be to doing the scavenger hunt while we ran?
It wouldn't be much of a hunt if single file. I assume that the order of clues will be somewhat random in an app to disperse the crowds after.

Also there wouldn't be any going back on the course if you missed something

Got it. We've never done of these so I have no idea what to expect. Do you get some kind of prize at the end of the scavenger hunt?

I don't know actually. In the past I think you had to solve the puzzles to get your medal, but runDisney these days has been giving medals to anyone starting the race. I assume it'll work like that, since it's kind of the same thing when you do these hunt games in Epcot. For those if you don't find all the eggs/bees/portraits you can still turn in the cards for your prize.

Merchandise...

With no pre-order at registration, it will be a zoo Thursday AM. Thank goodness I get early access as Platinum Club member and will be coming straight from Sunrise Yoga.

Does anyone feel underwhelmed by this? I’m sure the actual merch will be much better then what is shown here. I’m arriving relatively late to the expo so we will see what I can get.

Interested in the race specific stuff. Also, the weekend jacket.

EDIT: Hoping the merch lasts for when I get there. I heard that the Princess merch stuck around.

They sent out an email about the Everest 5K specifically. Saying that you have to download an app as well as their will be a code at the expo. Practice clues will also be given out.
