Very interesting, indeed. The high registration paired with the crazy rack rate hikes on hotels for 2011 is tough in this economy. People will be more careful how/if they're spending their precious dollars.

I would not be at all surprised if Disney had finally priced themselves to high on this. Between the registration costs going up, to the hotel prices that weekend going up, to blackout dates on discounts like free dining. I was wondering when it would happen and it looks like it finally did. A "free" 80 dollar admission ticket isn't worth that much to most people, especially anyone who has an AP. I agree. Knock 50 bucks off the registration for the next year. OR, like they are doing for the Princess half, join the graduated pricing crowd. Start off cheap, and then get more expensive as you get close to the race. I mean, I can do a local half or full, for 45-50 bucks, and get the same exact freebies.
