Rumored ride at Hollywood Studios

Most "normal" cast members do not have a huge following, so it is better to cut them off completely.

MJ, however has been tried and found innocent. Do not think for a second I'm actually defending him, I'm just saying that after his death his net goodwill exceeds his bad goodwill.

Nonetheless, Cpt EO could and should be replaced.
Technically, he was found "not guilty". Legal proceedings NEVER find someone innocent.

I think we all know who would be better since they have marketed almost anything and would be an intersting switch to RnR...

No he was found "not guilty"… But that is entirely different than innocent.

I've never been a aerosmith fan. But, as a musician, I enjoy Steve Hamilton and Joe Perry. I really enjoy RnRC though, I just hope a retheme of any degree would have the staying power as the current Aerosmith one does now. Regardless, it will need a redo once, God forbid, Tyler finally shuts his mouth and the band is no more.

They need to re-theme the entire attraction. I think a change to Rockin' Roller Séance would be wonderful. The concept would be that you would attempt to get in touch with the spirit of a dead rock star such as Elvis. They could have a touch screen in each seat and you could select from thousands of spirits to contact. It could even go beyond rock music stars to include classical composers, entertainers, singers and anyone else in the entertainment industry including the old mousetro himself.

If you are able to make contact with your selected spirit, then music and images of him/her would appear in the ether and the spirit would call you by name (made possible by your Magic Band) and you'd get a photo of you with your spirit (in its human form) at the end of the ride.

Personally, Capitol Records isn't the first thing I think of when I think of Hollywood, but I see the point. And to a certain degree, it "fits" the Hollywood theme. Still, I'm down for a RnR change.

Maybe it would help if the HOLLYWOOD sign was in the shot also? :D

Any SoCal local who has ever been stuck in traffic on the Hollywood Freeway passes the time by looking at two things as they climb the grade over the Cahuenga Pass; the nifty Capitol Records building, and the Hollywood sign. And you have to remember that DHS was built by Imagineers from SoCal, so how could they not associate Hollywood with the music recording industry?

The LA metro area has an unprecedented concentration of not just recording industry executive offices, but also pro musicians for hire, recording studios, editing companies, music marketing and distribution firms, etc., etc. The corporate music industry is in decline, to be sure, as a victim of collapsing sales in the face of radical technological change in the way people buy and use music in the 2010's. The same cracks in the foundation are now seen in TV and movie consumption as well, which will likely be an economic story for the 2020's.

All that said, I would think the music recording industry would still be a valid theme for a theme park about Hollywood. Although perhaps that's the idea for the rumored remake of DHS? Make it all about the past glory of Hollywood, instead of attempts at contemporary references that age poorly?

Simply armchair imgineering but a retheme to Guardians of the Galaxy would give a Marvel presence and preserve the music aspect. The cars could be the Milano spaceship. Woudn't fit great with the old Hollywood but who knows with the re-do of the park. Most likely though it'll stay as is IMO.

You think so? I think there are some bands whose popularity has outlasted the band itself. I could see a Rockin'Roller Coaster featuring Led Zeppelin or The Rolling Stones drawing guests for decades. It's possible Aerosmith could remain a major draw for a very long time.
