Round 2....

So, I asked Steve to change my username...I've heard too many horror stories regarding management finding CMs on forums, and with a name like Taryn...well, it's not a very common name. Much too obvious for my tastes. So I shall forever more be known as ZambeziZelda, after my very favorite boat on my very favorite attraction (The World Famous Jungle Cruise, for anyone who doesn't know.)

I recommend a couple other things as well:
- lose the avatar with your name; it's pointless to change your username if its there.
- don't say you're a CM online and if you must don't post where you work and things like that
- remove anything traceable to you as Taryn. Hide your e-mail from public view, lose any screennames in your profile, and so on

Unfortunately Disney is pretty hardcore with online postings. Taking every possible precaution is a good idea. And, of course, watch what you say online!

Wow. Haven't been on in like a month. Geez.

Updates: I wasn't rehired by Disney. I'm fine with that now, and have been happily frolicking about the parks with my new AP.

And while I still haven't had the heart to ride the Jungle Cruise, I haven't completely given up on my Skipper dreams-- I am now working as a Skipper over at Captain Jake's Amity Boat Tours, otherwise known as the Jaws attraction at Universal Studios. I mean, it's no JC, but I'm sure I'll have tons of fun. I'm just trading in amazingly corny jokes for screaming, explosions, and a 40mm grenade launcher...I'm actually rather tickled by the whole grenade launcher thing, lol.

I'm still pretty brand new, so I haven't gotten to spiel or anything yet...today was actually my third and final day of orientation. They couldn't get a Jaws trainer to show me around the parks, so I ended up tagging along with this crazy trainer and her trainee, both working at the Mummy. It was actually pretty fun...I got to get people to the front of the line on both Jaws and the Mummy, and got to ride along on both. The look on the guests faces when we told them we were going to bypass the line- well, it sure as heck felt like making Magic to me, irregardless of which company I'm at.

So anyways, if anyone's heading over to USF in the near future and want to ride the BEST Jaws boat EVER, be sure to ask for yours truly ;)

Thanks for the tips :)

I'm not overly concerned anymore, seeing as how I don't work for Disney..however, if I ever do try to pursue rehire again, I'll definately take them to heart. Especially the whole avatar thing. I feel kind of stupid for not thinking about it, haha

Hey sweetie. Welcome back to FL. Unfortunately I currently am not in FL at the moment. But as soon as something happens with school either way, I will be back soon. And hopefully then will be able to meet up.

Thanks you guys :) I'm so incredibly excited right now...even if, worst-case-scenario, my rehire status is really messed up and I don't get to be a CM, I'd still be excited to just buy myself an AP and be surrounded by the Magic again!

And luckily I've recruited my mother to drive down with me, as well as my best friend who's moving with me, so the drive shouldn't be horribly awful

erg, I hope nothing happens with my rehire status when I try to go back. I can't get onto the hub anymore, so I have the feeling it's not good news.

you have to log onto the portal at least once every month in order to keep it active- that doesn't have anything to do with your re-hire status
