I really wonder what it would take to impress some people when it comes to new attractions/attraction technology. It seems anything short of a Star Trek style holodeck isn't good enough.
If they built a holodeck, we'd get posts like this
"So, every ride from now on is going to use a holodeck is it?"
"Well even though it's impossible to distinguish between reality and holograms, you know it's not real so that's a no from me"
"I saw a piece of litter on the floor of the queue, ruined the whole trip for me so I couldn't enjoy the ride"
"There's a point in the attraction where one of the images looks slightly off for around 0.1 seconds. Took me 200+ rides to actually notice it but now I have I no longer like it. Shame on you Disney, this wouldn't happen at six flags"
"It's based on a film over 20 years old, not recent enough for most guests"
"It's based on a film that's only 2 years old, they should have used an older one to add nostalgia"
"I saw a South American tour party in the queue so didn't ride it. I'm sure I'd have hated it anyway so shame on you Disney"
"The souvenir shop at the exit ruined the whole experience"
"There was no souvenir shop at the exit, ruined the whole experience"
"There were no ramps, arghhhhhhhhhhhh"
" Back in the day the ride would have lasted 2 hours, we only got a paltry 25 minutes ride time. I'm boycotting it from now on"
"Let's see if in 30 years time people still say it's great, only then can it be judged fairly. Calm down people, it's just new ride syndrome and undeserved hype"
"My fries were cold ................. sorry wrong thread"
