Cool. One of the things that I like about WS are the different cuisines around the lagoon. I wish that MK would adopt this kind of differentiation in cuisine.

That would be great for sure!
But don't see that changing anytime soon!
World showcase is amazing, there is nowhere else you can experience so many cuisines and cultures in one place!!

Yeah I know, I unfortunately doubt disney would get a bit creative. If they did, TL would get a place like wd~50. Frontierland would get a steakhouse, with some kind of huge slab of steak. Adventureland can get an O'Hana like place.

Steakhouse in Frontier would be great!
DLP had one in Frontier and it fits in perfectly! Good atmosphere, good steaks and a restaurant whose cuisine fits the theme of the land :sohappy:
But the. They don't have Epcot so we should prob just be grateful for the experience that is World Showcase..... And pints of Golden (Carl's Conbo) at the Rose & Crown :slurp:

I am thinking of going to Rose and Crown for the first time during my Nov/Dec trip later this year. I am wondering what people think of the food... I will be on a student trip so I will probably not be able to taste Carl's magical combos, but I would like to get a sense of the atmosphere and enjoy my only sit-down meal on my trip! Please let me know what you think! Thanks!
There many great things at RnC!
The pot roast is delicious!
They do a nice steak!
The leek and potato soup starter is do creamy it's so good!

It's a great spot, whether it's for a quick drink with Carl or a few cold ones with the Hat Lady playing all night or for a great meal with a great view of ROE!!:sohappy:

Well for our experience in 2010 it was ok,nothing mind blowing,then again,nothing bad either.Here's my only gripe,where ever we go on vacation we like to try that countries cuisine,if were in Greece,we eat Greek,in Italy,we dine Italian,and so on,therefore living in UK were used to the British fare,but iam sure you will enjoy your meal.P.S. Try and get a table at the waters edge for illuminations,it's worth the price of the meal.:wave:

Exactly, dinner with Illuminations in the background is brilliant!
And it's not just about the food, it's the great times that can be had in the bar!
The cast members are second to none and once The Hat Lady starts playing it makes for a GREAT night :sohappy:

Just realized that our upcoming trip in April doesn't have a Rose and Crown moment in the plans. That will need to change.
So many great memories both with Carl and with every other CM who we have experienced there. Definitely need to rework some plans to make a visit happen.

It's not a trip to WDW without a trip to RnC to see Carl and enjoy a Carl Combo :sohappy:
Just realized (in back reading) that we never posted about our November "we missed RnC last time so we have to go back" trip.
That was back in 2010 and was a bit of a rough trip (everybody got a stomach bug along the way), but we did enjoy RnC on a limited basis. Got a flight and sat outside and enjoyed. So, a little less of the camaraderie than usual. Definitely makes me think we need to add it into this trip...
Ah now! Well After that I believe I day trip to RnC is definitely in order :wave:

Ditto, well hopefully someone in TDO will see the light. They could use the Diamond Horseshoe building for this, it will atleast get a use out of the space.
Exactly that would be perfect!
I cant understand how this place isnt open more often, esp with MK lacking dining varieties :shrug:

Yup! Booked it especially for that! We've never been to Rose and Crown before but it's got such great reviews for the view of ROE, the food, and the general atmosphere, that I just can't wait!
