Room only reservation

Has anyone ever had a room only reservation and bought tickets through a broker such as undercover tourist? I was wondering if when you check in if the hotel cm can convert those tickets to a key to the world card.

I believe you can. Last time we went, we bought tickets through undercovertourist (we are DVC members). A few months ago, I found those passes, still in the plastic bag they came in, essentially untouched. So while I don't remember exactly, I think Guest Services at our resort scanned the barcodes of the tickets to confirm they've never been used, then transferred their value to our room card and voided the paper tickets.

As long as you are getting legit tickets through a legit re-seller the tickets can be put on your KTTW card. The trick is not every CM will know how to do it. If the CM at check in does not know how, chances are someone at concierge will.

I posted this exact same question a couple weeks ago. i ended up calling BOTH undercover tourist AND the front desk at Pop Century and they both verified it could be done.

It depends on your ticket. If you have an annual, or seasonl, you can't because the card is only valid for the duration of your stay. if you have a ticket that is only good for the duration of your stay it should be doable.

Just FYI...

Any ticket info on a KTTW card remains valid even if the room key is no longer valid [so long as you haven't used it]. I got the compulsory tickets with Free Dining on our KTTW cards a few years ago, but since we had APs, we never used the ticket on the cards. Over a year later I upgraded those tickets to new APs without a problem.

A while back i asked about putting my annual on the car while we were there and they said they couldn't. Might have been a season that year but she said because it was a yearly pass she couldn't. I didn't want to be walking around with too much stuff in my wallet.

Sorry, you misunderstood... My APs were on separate stock. When you get the free dining you have to get normal Magic Your Way park tickets as part of the package, we just didn't use those and then when I needed APs again much later I upgraded the MYW tickets from the old KTTW cards.

You cannot put an Annual Pass onto your KTTW card.

Last year, we did just that. Had a room only reservation, and tickets from Undercover. Unfortunatly, because we had used up some of the days on the paper ticket, we were told they couldn't attatch it to the KTTW card. We stayed off site for a few days before we moved over to POFQ. Not too much of a pain, though. It all worked out fine.

I normally do room only to get the AAA Discount and pay it off through the year since I call the disney travel co. After which I'll buy my tickets through them which will then be put on my KTTW.
