I would think that TT would be the closest ride system to a coaster. Do I get a biscuit? :slurp:

How 'bout the monorail? The monorail is the only thing in FW that coasts

Another option is the roller coaster builder thingy in front of the late Backstage Magic.

If you could consider that a coaster builder...As I remember there was only one place you could put each piece of track. ;)

you have to be right...JIYI is a roller coaster track. Just speed controlled to go slow.

You are correct about the track, but the original question asked for the roller coaster in Future World. The real question is "what is a roller coaster?" A roller coaster is simply a car (or train) that travels along a track (which contains a combination of hills, turns, and possibly inversions), and the vehicles do not require additional outside forces to keep it moving after the initial lift hill or powered launch. In WDW, only Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Goofy's Barmstormer, and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster truely fit this definition. Splash Mountain is a roller coaster-type ride (you can hold debates as to whether or not it counts as a roller coaster), and Test Track, Dinosaur, and Kali River Rapids are nothing more than thrill rides. There are quite a few rides out there that use the roller coaster style steel track, but that alone doesn't mean that they are roller coasters.

MGMboy - The coaster simulator in the old Communicore allowed you to build several different combinations with the coaster track. Some track pieces only worked in certain spots, but the others could be changed around.

roller coaster: an elevated railway constructed with curves and inclines on which cars roll.
or...an elevated railway constructed with sharp curves and steep slopes. or...railway for amusement, consisting of inclined tracks along which small cars roll, abruptly dip, turn, etc.

I guess it all depends upon your definition of roller coaster! I'm sure others here can come up with a few more! ;)

Although I would expect it to "COAST" at some point! ;)
