A very minor park, quite a ways down a rather narrow road, at that.
Maybe it's because I've been to Legoland California a few times over the past 10 years, and seen what it is and what it's not after 12 years of near-constant additions and upgrades. (And also realize it has absolutely no impact on Disneyland's operation or business plans.) But for the life of me, I can't understand why anyone in Florida would think that Legoland opening up on the old Cypress Gardens property would be any more a worry for TDO than a new mini-golf n' pizza parlor offering opening up on International Drive.
I like how a resident of California is an expert on central Florida. Classic.
Legoland is not going to be THAT far from WDW property. I live about 15 minutes farther south of WDW than Legoland and it still only takes me 40 minutes max (doing the speed limit) to get to Disney. And a narrow road? From WDW property to US 27 in Baseball City you have an interstate highway which is, what?, 6, 8 lanes. Then 27 to Winter Haven is all practically 6 lanes, now. There just one two mile stretch from Dundee to Cypress Gardens Boulevard that is still 4 lanes.
But that being said, Legoland is ZERO threat to Disney.
