A very minor park, quite a ways down a rather narrow road, at that.

Maybe it's because I've been to Legoland California a few times over the past 10 years, and seen what it is and what it's not after 12 years of near-constant additions and upgrades. (And also realize it has absolutely no impact on Disneyland's operation or business plans.) But for the life of me, I can't understand why anyone in Florida would think that Legoland opening up on the old Cypress Gardens property would be any more a worry for TDO than a new mini-golf n' pizza parlor offering opening up on International Drive.

I like how a resident of California is an expert on central Florida. Classic.

Legoland is not going to be THAT far from WDW property. I live about 15 minutes farther south of WDW than Legoland and it still only takes me 40 minutes max (doing the speed limit) to get to Disney. And a narrow road? From WDW property to US 27 in Baseball City you have an interstate highway which is, what?, 6, 8 lanes. Then 27 to Winter Haven is all practically 6 lanes, now. There just one two mile stretch from Dundee to Cypress Gardens Boulevard that is still 4 lanes.

But that being said, Legoland is ZERO threat to Disney.

I might buy that excuse for the Tomorrowland Terrace but not the Veranda. IMHO Disney is sitting on an untapped goldmine with the Veranda. Had the POTC character meal with Jack Sparrow gone through it could have become the next CRT in terms of popularity.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. The Adventureland Verandah should be reopened with Captian Jack and his band of pirates doing a little show and M&G. It is such a wasted space and it is ashame that TDO cannot get off the high pile o money to get this taken care of. I mean Pirates 4 is coming out and from what I've heard, two more will probably be done. Why waste this live action franchise. I would certainly eat there and watch the show with both my son and daughter.
As for Diamond Horsehoe, there was ALWAYS a line to get in. I mean I had to run when the park opened to get my name on the list. The show was always fun.
For Tomorrowland Terrace, it seems to be a huge space that never really gets used. The food windows always seemed closed. Then the Noodle Station opened and I go every year and in August, it never seemed opened. Other than a cut through to Tomorrowland during parades and fireworks, the area has lost its lustre.
I can understand about adding another full service restaurant in the MK. I just hope that it doesn't become another Cinderella's Round Table where it is a 2 sitdown meal for the dining plan or calling at 7am six months in advance. And hopefully the food will be good since the breakfast at the Castle has gone down down down as well as the service. Oh did I mention guest service: you ate, met the princesses for 3.2 seconds each so get out. More people want to come in.

Don't even get me started on the DH. It's one of the few areas that annoys me every time see its closed doors.

I've never understood the rush for breakfast in the castle. The food is lousy and the goal is literally to get you in and out in less than 30 minutes.

You make zero sense, but that's par for the course.

I'm quite certain everyone knows exactly what I mean.:wave:

Aren't you usually out instigating civil unrest this time of the day?

Its the digital age old bean, chaos can be created by keystroke rather than baton round these days.

I'm willing to bet that nobody knows what you were insinuating with that post. You aren't anything close to witty, so stop trying. Thanks...

Heh.

Her avatar disguises the real MAF. I think it is a 'her'.

jt...go ahead and tell us what you mean....I'm sure the moderators would like to know also.

Go ahead and explain yourself, you've never hesitated to do it before, I really want to know.

Quite simply MAF has an avatar that insinuates naive innocence while it masks someone who can often be quite mean spirited.

I think the mods already knew this though.

To be fair anyone that can deduce anything intelligible from your inane drivel and incoherent ramblings should be classed as a genius.

Thanks for proving what I suspected. You are clueless!

I explained precisely what I meant, as usual, but you can't grasp it, as usual. Not my problem bub.

What a pompous jackass. If you would speak what you mean instead of dancing around the bush, then there would be no mistaking of your meanings.

Well, if it isn't the usual suspects bickering away. Have fun guys, but don't complain if I finally snap and ban the lot of you. Mother's Day is just a few weeks away, and peace and quiet on the forum would make a nice gift.
