Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster to be Re-Themed?

This would have been a solid spot for Guardians and future Marvel expansion.

Future Marvel expansion isn't really a thing lol.

People keep saying it, but they truly do not have the rights and have no means to give Marvel a significant presence. Guardians and Doctor Strange - that's it.

Superheroes of some sort wouldn't be a... bad idea... but Marvel isn't really very feasible.

Yes
In an alternate reality RnRC was given a cheap GOTG overlay and ToT was made into some Dr Strange monstrosity. Gag. On the bright side the Tron coaster went into Epcot in a much more fitting show building.

3 of the 5 movies coming out in 2020-2021 include characters that are very likely fair game: Doctor Strange, The Eternals and Shang Chi.

Did you miss the post above that points out Aerosmith isn't a Disney property? Whether one likes it or not, Disney Hollywood Studios is about stuff produced by studios owned by Disney place-set in Hollywood.

So, if the music video was as popular as the other Disney IPs... sure. There's Disney Jr. in DHS after all.
Didn’t used to be like that. Quite frankly, the older business model was better in my opinion. I remember seeing banners near the Sorcerers Hat advertising Mission Impossible III.

I’m not an Imagineer. If Bob Iger tells you to design a ride, you do it.

But what gives you the idea that Bob Iger will do that? There are no plans for Doctor Strange, who would make for a great ride; I would be very surprised by them going in on an E for one of those properties, even if they have success similar to Guardians.

And you honestly believe they'd make an attraction about either group of characters?
We laughed at the suggestion of Guardians of the Galaxy attractions prior to that movie coming out. Those were definitely characters that weren't well known but if you're a part of a billion dollar movie or two, it helps.

There was also definitely a proposal for a Doctor Strange show in Epcot. I don't know it to be an active proposal, but it definitely existed, as recently as 2016-2017.

Wasn't there a show for a short bit?

Edit due to vagueness...

A show in HS in which Dr. Strange interacted with kids...

I'd honestly like to see a more advanced and ambitious Doctor Strange attraction. Also being a fan of the characters it isn't about popularity, it's about the actual feasiblity of a ride. Are you familiar with the Eternals or Shang Chi? I must admit the former might work but the latter.... ehh

However I still do not see this as some kind of takeover like some are assuming. An attraction here and there is nothing to make a huge deal over IMO.

Marvel will certainly not have a HUGE presence at WDW. But another ride beyond GotG is not unrealistic.
