Well.. where to start?
I know! Everyone's favorite: SPACE.
The reopening of the walkway and central Future World East artery has much improved mobility between the various attraction and reduced the amount of aimlessly wandering guests.
The Spaceship-tipped Margquee is once again covered with a tarp and black bands holding it securely in place. I assume because of painting work in the area or perhaps it's not exactly wateproof. Who know? I don't!
Elsewhere... The power just sort of "went out" today at the Universe of Energy in a strange ironic moment. The outage lasted only secodns but did cause a full evacuation while the system was reset.
In related news, the Universe of Energy's only spare traveling theater vehicle (There are 13 total, each show runs 6 vehciles, two shows running at any time) has been taken away by the minds of WDW Imagineering for "re-imagineering." Expect a new computer system and a possibly more reliable ride in the future - hopefully.
Anticipation of the upcomming Food and Wine Festival is at its height - for this reporter atleast. I'm just excited. I like festivals at Epcot. Have you made your reservations yet? If not, hurry up, they'll run out completely soon.
News from the WDW Broadcast alert:
"Beginning on August 25, various ramps of the interchange at Buena Vista Drive and World Drive will close from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. the follow morning on scheduled evenings to allow for repaving of those roads. The work will be performed on various evenings, continuing until September 11, 2002"
Ick.. more fun with traffic delays.
The Disneyana Mystery is almost upon us! It's less than a week away! While certain events are open only to package holders, the following events will be open to the public on the weekend of the August 24-25 (with Epcot admission.)
Minnie's Attic (Disney's items sold by Disney)
Antiques & Collectibles (Disney items no longer for sale by Disney)
Logo Store (Disneyana merchandise)
Limited Edition Merchandise
Walt Disney Showcase (Synergy partners)
Workshop of the Masters (Disney artists)
Well.. that's the news. Enjoy.
