Roaming around at the other resorts

We are staying at the pop century resort with our kids and one night I would like to take the wife on a romatic walk on the beach at the grand floridian. Do they allow you to roam the other resorts while staying at another. Thanx all.

are there any places in the GF PO or Poly to get a late night drink, and recommendations or preferences

Most of the info below is two years old, and things change, so it's best to check for yourself by calling each hotel you are interested in and finding out for yourself. The dining or reservation numbers will not be able to give you accurate live entertainment schedules for the resort hotels.

The POFQ has entertainment (New Orleans jazz, of course) in their bar a few days a week - call the hotel directly to ask when someone well be there. But other than that, their main building isn't much to see, and is probably not worth a trip by itself. I don't know for sure about the POR.

However, the CBR had a steel drum band on some nights at the pool - my kids LOVED this. And they had great Carribean style cocktails at the pool bar, too. Again, call the hotel directly. I didn't see any live entertainment at the CS when I was there, but I might have missed it.

The deluxe resorts have entertainment of various kinds going on, and it's probably worth calling each one directly to ask about the schedule.

I've always wanted to have a drink at Narcoosee's. They have a bar you can sit at, and the view of the lagoon is fabulous. I went in once and walked around a bit without ordering a drink, and nobody bothered me, although it was just for a few minutes. There is an outside walkway all around. The electric water barge parade (I forget the official name) used to go right past there - if you could find out the schedule and be in the bar when it did, that would be very cool.

OMG- there is a guy at the piano bar in Port Orleans Riverside that is out of this world! He's like a music/comedy routine rolled up in one! Not sure what the bar is called but it's right next to the store/lobby area. (You could even do a horse/carriage ride here around the property of PO)

BTW- walking over at the Boardwalk is romantic at night! There are a few bars where you could stop and have a drink.
