if i've learnt anything about reading books about disney world, it's that stuff that looks like it wants to be touched, should be touched! usually if it says don't touch, then touch it because it will make a funny. lol!

i have love in an elevator in my head now. love in an elevatoooorrr!!

Aren't these plusses what makes Disney More Magical? If Disney didn't want them to be touched and played with, then they would have covered the marbled with class to get the looks alone. but they want you to touch them, same with the Bells at Everest. It's part of the magic. Sorry if the sound hurts your ears, but I will most definitely touch the marbles. and hit every bell, which isn't hard being over 6 feet tall ;-)

Is it OK to press buttons and flip switches on Mission Space? :D
YES YES it's OK
I laughed when I read this. I must flip every switch, press every button, multiple times as soon as I sit in the capsule seat. It drives my son crazy. Then I reach over and touch every switch and press every button on his side that I can reach. The funny thing is that when I start... the other two guests sitting next to me start doing the same thing... like they needed me to start the fun.
But the crazy thing is... I have no desire to roll the marbles. One time some people in line with us were trying to find a pattern of colors, like playing the connect four game in the marbled door.

Once when the line stopped moving by the bells, I had a father challenge his son to see who could ring the largest bells the loudest. They were LOUD and they were RIGHT behind us. I have very good/sensitive hearing, and it was painful. (I swear the Big Bang sequence in UoE was softer) If the line hadn't moved when it did, I would've yelled at them.

Since that point, every time I go through there I silently pray that no one discovers the bells work, because once you have one person doing it, you have a dozen...

I wouldn't mind if they were dampened somehow, making for nice soothing chimes and tones. But when a tall Guest can get their hand up inside and whip the clacker as hard and fast as they can so the sound feels like it's stabbing my brain, it's too loud.

I like the marbles and don't mind if anyone touches them. HOWEVER. Keep this in mind. I was in the restroom at HS and the person in the stall next to me was...you know, relieving themselves of solid matter (i can't think of a nicer wayt to pu that). This person then left the stall never washed their hands and went on into the park. I wonder if they playhed with those marbles.

yes touch the marbles, and while your at it, touch the interactive queue line elements in HM and Winnie the pooh. I always got sick on vacation in Disneyworld until i stopped touching things there.

Think about how much more annoying they are for CMs working who have to hear them every day...

They are there for a reason, so I see no problem with people wanting to touch them.

:D Family and I ring the cow bells at the Wilderness Lodge EVERY time we walk past them...and we all 4 do it. We get some really rude looks when we do it. But the way I look at the cow bell and the marble wall..they would not put it them there if they did not want us touching. :D

We do that too.

It is just a light touch, however, and not a slap.

Speaking of the RnRC, has anyone ever noticed the hand gesture that Steven Tyler does when he says, "How to people"?

Not the most family friendly if you know what he is doing.
