RnRC Queue

If this has already been discussed then please just point me in the right direction...not that people on this board wouldn't have anyway :)

Anyway, I was standing in the queue yesterday at RnRC and I continually heard the worst sound in all of Walt Disney World: people running their hands up and down the doors with the marbles. My question is do these doors have any purpose/story beyond just decoration for G Force Records and does the noise annoy anyone else but me? Why can't we just look and resist the urge to touch?

I don't think there's any point to them other than decorative purposes, I hate people running their hands on these too... Kids OK but when you see adults doing it I just think "How old are you?" lol

This thread:

People complaining about a 'plus' to the queue, making it more decorative.

Buzz queue thread:

People complaining walls were painted one color with no 'pluses'.

Can't have it both ways. This is why Disney can't win.

:D Family and I ring the cow bells at the Wilderness Lodge EVERY time we walk past them...and we all 4 do it. We get some really rude looks when we do it. But the way I look at the cow bell and the marble wall..they would not put it them there if they did not want us touching. :D

Yeah I agree those marbles are terrible. I got stuck there for 5 minutes while teenage kids tried to make music with it. All of a sudden someone said enough of the marbles already and then screamed. Those kids did not even talk the rest of the way.

I love the marbles!!!!! You have to touch them. Granted I have never rode when there is a line so I have never had to listen to them for 10 minutes. I finally got my daughter to ride this year after her 6th visit and we had to stop and touch the marbles. She now wants a closet door like it.

I think it adds to the ride and gets you into that funky rock and roll state of mind. You would not encouter doors like that at a bank or a walmart.

No the sound of an empty margarita glass touching down on the table is far worse.

Best thing with the bools on the door is make sure you visit the cludgy and dont wash your hands, double the fun, the noise drives folk nutz and the germophobes go apoplectic.
