RnRC (minor news)

Just exited RnRC and noticed two things while riding. First, the dot matrix sign at the launch position has been replaced by a larger, better version and the launch countdown sequence has changed slightly. Second, in my vehicle at least, the ride audio is finally back on cue like when it opened. For the longest time the on ride audio had no rhyme or reason to it. Just seemed like they played Aerosmith music without timing it or having specific cues. Can anyone in the know tell me whether or not I imagined this or if these changes actually happened?

Given that the ride was down for an unannounced reason recently, it seems probable.

It is known that when a ride is down unexpectedly for a few days that they will bring in a few extra people to work on the list of projects, updates, repairs exc. that any given ride has. The idea is not to extend the downtime but to make the most of it. It's kinda understandable when disney attractions operate for anywheres between 10 and 22 hours in a day every day of the year.

When I rode last week (Thursday, May 28) I thought the sound cues were off. I was under the impression that the ride ends with Steven Tyler sweetly cooing "Love on a rollercoaster" every time. This always makes me laugh for mostly no reason at all and really caps off the whole experience and I was a bit disappointed when the music cut off kind of abruptly at the end of my ride. Thankfully, I recovered quickly with a little ToT action.

That is what I was talking about. When I rode yesterday, everything was like it should, including that line.

I have noticed that there are different music tracks when I rode over the years. I just always assumed that some are better than others, not that the timing was off. I had noticed over the years that it seemed there were fewer road signs in the ride.

Glad to hear the experience is being sharpened!

Right, there's definitely different sets of songs that play, and I think "Love in a roller coaster" only plays at the end of one of them.

It would seem to feel like they're changing up the music, BUT, it actually depends on the super stretch you go on!

You can tell the difference by their licence plate:
UGOBABE and H8TRFFC are my personal favorites, and this ride is what made me an Aerosmith fanatic.

I hated that the sign had dead lights, but i guess i got used to it, and it just made it more realistic. I'm happy that they're doing some fixes. I wouldn't be surprised if the sign died, and that's why they closed to replace it. .....

I think I have heard all those at one time or another, possibly not Nine Lives.

I'm not sure, but i wouldn't be surprised if 1QKLIMO is a backup SSL(super stretch Limo), as in the tons of times ive rode it, ive only rode 1QKLIMO once, after the ride was coincidentally(maybe not coincidentally???) closed earlier in the day.

Are the plates on the front as well as the back?
