RnRC (minor news)

They have this ride in Paris as well, the rumors of it's replacement there seem much stronger than in the US. Are the rides identical? Do they have the same songs as well? With how much help Paris needs I wouldn't be surprised to see it replaced there first for the marketing hype and then later brought to the US.
As an Aerosmith fan though, I'd prefer it stay as is (though I wouldn't mind seeing the first scene reshot, looks so old now).

So, has anyone been able to confirm my observations yet?

Based on this YouTube video, i can confirm that there is a new "traffic" screen over the launch tunnel. Looks like it's now orange LED rather than the old green flip-dot sign.

You can catch a quick glimpse from 3:10-3:13.

The Paris one is slightly different mainly due to it having the most awful pre-show ever.

The WDW RnR pre-show has Aerosmith inviting you onto a super stretch limo to join them backstage, that is perfectly themed and works well.

The Paris version has Aerosmith wanting to build a bigger better rollercoaster, breaking the theme of the WDW version by acknowleding it is a coaster, not a super stretch limo!

I still think they should replace Aerosmith with Rush.... YYZ anyone? Anyone?

As a fellow Canadian, no.....

These is a huge difference between the two rides. I was there in April and was very disappointed.

Paris seems to not have any licences to ANY Aerosmith music. So as you go through the queue, there is NO recognizable music, and much of it is COUNTRY..... Also the queue has memorabilia for some good bands, and then one lone Aerosmith guitar signed by Joe Perry.

The pre show changes from a concert to making a roller coaster..... And half way through the pre show, the kicked us out..... While they're still talking....

Next is the line between the pre show and the line. Now they've themed it as a futuristic roller coaster, with strobe lights and kind of Tron'y style. The SSL's were in disrepair, and we waited for the front. The front panel where your feet fit in the front had been ripped off, showing all the wires from the front lights and power system.

Next, to take off... Now the ride felt longer than Florida, which made me happy. The music, that I know of, was an original song that they paid Aerosmith to make, so they wouldn't infringe copyright, since as I said before, it seems like they have no rights to ANY other Aerosmith music.

I have to say, the theme was lacking, but could completely improve if they improved their liscenseing agreements, and frankly just fixed up the ride and made it more similar to Florida

The current strong rumour is that they will remove all the Aerosmith and retheme to Spiderman in the next 10 years. That whole corner of the Studios will switch to Marvel (Armeggedon goes to Fantastic Four).

Just to avoid confusion I am talking about the PARIS Studios park.

Well, it makes sense as its in dire need of repair in Paris. And, studios needs a retheme, it seemed like small IP rides that worked in Florida and Califronia, with the exception of ratatouille(my favourite Disney ride of all time) and toy story playland, which I first experienced in Hong Kong, and it seemed to work better there than in its original place of Paris...

If it were to succeed in Hong Kong, the new Iron Man experience could work VERY well in the Armageddon space, as there isn't a need for a ride track, just room for simulators.
