What are the differences? Im looking online for a Dec trip and after my AP discount Riverside is $755 and French Quarter is $642.

Why the big difference?

FQ is $89 a night..

RS is over $100...

We have stayed at both resorts.

When we travel as a family...5 in our party...POR is our best option.
Love everything except busses. Will be staying there again.

When DH & I travel as a "couple" I prefer POFQ.
I requested a "quiet" room (DH & I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary on our last trip)....Building 6; 3rd floor; in the corner...PERFECT!!!!
Walked along the water at night :)
Went to Scat Cat's Lounge...Live entertainment Wed. through Sat....Jazz!
Had a blast!!!

You can't go wrong. POFQ is smaller/quaint with a New Orlean vibe.
I find it more romantic. Few kids!!!

Good luck choosing...enjoy your stay
And CONGRATS on your ENGAGEMENT :sohappy:

I stayed for the first time at POFQ in June/July and it was great. I can't tell you how beautiful and relaxing it was. Small, quiet and exactly what we needed. Like others have stated it is small (great if you have children). It only takes about 3 min to walk from building 7 (last building) to get to the buses or main building. Pool was great. My 4 yr old son loved it. I had a Philly cheese steak sandwich for a QS, that was to die for. I couldn't eat all of it. I didn't get a chance to get the beignets though. Everyone says you have to try them. Hope this helps.
