Over on MiceChat a poster called Natalie Price (says she’s a CM) posted:

Disneyland Railroad Will Be "Cycling" Each Evening

The trains on the Disneyland Railroad will be cycling each evening from 4:00pm – 2:00am, beginning Friday, June 23rd. This is just testing and the trains will not be taking on passengers.

But much like the Columbia and Mark Twain, who are also "cycling" the Rivers of America, we're getting closer to the "feel" of the way things used to be...and will be soon.
Brilliant! I'll try and capture this.

...But not as bad as its replacement, "Delta Dreamflight," which is the only version I got to ride.

You know what? I don't know if I ever rode Delta Dreamflight. I'm pretty sure I did, but I don't remember. I'll see if I can find a YouTube video of the ride.

I remember liking both it and "If You Had Wings." Looking back it's hard to see it as much more than the theme park equivalent of an infomercial. This is why I'm not so harsh about IP's coming into the parks.

There's a clear middle of ground of not needing an IP and being great ride. Practically all of the original EPCOT Center for example.

Good point. It's taken awhile but I've gradually warmed up to the IP onslaught, but I'm fine with it especially with Marvel and Star Wars now part of the Disney family. I can't wait to see what they do with Indiana Jones!

Disney had some truly awful corporate alliances in the past (and still does) that many young fans would be horrified by today.

That's current?

Yup. It's the new show that just debuted last month.

I can only imagine what a room full of 3 year olds wearing plastic training pants and all jumping around at the same time sounds like. I'm too scared to go in there, but the sign out front is hysterical.

Speaking of potty-training and back to the Rivers of America... the waterfalls just turned on today! Here's the first video, but I'm sure there will be more thorough ones later this evening. Skip to the 2:57 mark.

I continue to be impressed by the work Disney did on the new ROA/DLRR features. It was all done quickly and without too much negative impact on the park's operations. The working waterfall looks very nice.

It's been so long, I forgot Disneyland even had a train. Just from that photo, it's looking like they refurbished them well. Looks brand new!

Same! When I went this past April with my mom, she asked where the train was, and I turned to her and said, "What train?" SMH It's been way too long.

Looking forward to its reopening.
