Yeah these oldies are constantly popping up.
We always rode the steamboat and did it multiple times on a trip. It was something that added to the old time feel of the land and we never rode an empty boat. I enjoyed the lazy ride, the narrative that accompanied the trip and the scenery you could take in. It is going to be sorely missed when it is taken from us. Fortunately my next trip will enable us some last rides. Although I have plenty of photos down through the years, Im going to be sure to capture some last moments for us to remember it by.

I'm one of those dorks who would swap all of Cars Land or Potter for one trip at dusk past the smugglers cave...

Oh my.... :lookarou

Yes, ten years ago as much as now I'll take any square foot of the River over all of Cars Land.

We always tried to ride it each time. I did it at Disneyland my lone time there (thank goodness that version is staying). But I miss Peter Pan at times too, and love Peter Pan. Sometimes you miss an attraction for other reasons than you don't like it. But for me I think it epitomized the MK as much as anything. Maybe there will be enough backlash to reverse this bad decision. There is more than enough room in WDW to do this without cutting out the core of a land.

Just add this to TWDC not able to keep Tiana running…just more of what I like to call Iger’s folly…what a legacy to leave with…better than Chapek? Hmmmm

Once and done, and that was about 8 trips ago....sooooo booooriiiiiing. But at the same time I love the visual of that beautiful paddle boat and the walk way over through Frontierland
