Right after Easter?

Hi everyone!

My birthday is the Monday after Easter, and I am a little nervous as to how busy the parks may be this week?

Will the parks still be crazy? Spring Break for the schools around here is the week before Easter, so I am hopeful that will mean it is less crowded.

Thank you in advance for your help!!!

I have found that The week leading up to Easter is busy as is Easter weekend, but I've been there the week afterwards too and it was dead. Easter is late this year too so many schools may have had their break. Our district has the week after Easter for a break, but my college age daughter will have had hers the beginning of March.

UK schools generally get a two week break at Easter - we've been four times at Easter - so you're likely to find an awful lot of Brits their until the weekend after Easter

It may have been dead for you, but we were there for Easter last year (2008) and the Monday after Easter was so crowded it was unbelievable.

We left the MK after only 2 hours in the park - during those 2 hours we were only able to ride ONE ride.

I've posted this before, but I'll post it again. I will never be able to forget standing at the entrance to the Jungle Cruise trying to cross the thousands of people to cross to the Magic Carpets of Aladin. After trying for 10 minutes to cross the crowd, we finally just gave up, went with the flow of people and headed back to the Poly. It was madness.

If you go, I would plan for big crowds. Then if the crowds are small, it will be extra magical!

We are thinkining that we may leave the DD at Camp Grandma and Grandpa and make this an adult trip, because we won't feel compelled to be in the park if it is SUPER crazy.

Thank you again for all of the information!

my last trip to wdw we arrived on easter sunday and i thought the parks were crowded but they were not that bad. if you really plan out your days you can easily go on all the rides you want to without having to wait in super long lines. i use the unofficial guide to walt disney world book and it is amazing! it tells you when to go on rides and in what order you should do them. you avoid long lines by planning your day accordingly. like, you should never go to magic kingdom on a monday because that is one of its busiest days. on the tuesday of our trip the magic kingdom had the morning extra magic hour and we rode so many rides! the tuesday right after easter! we got to the park a little after 7 am when it opened and went on 8 rides with almost no wait in that one hour before the park officially opened. so yes, crowds the week after easter can be bad, but if you plan properly, you can still have a great vacation.

I was there last easter 2008...

My family and I was there that tuesday after easter and it was very busy. The whole week. But there were some exceptions for example Ellen filmed her show at Universal that week and wrestlemania was the weekend following easter. I dont about this easter but last year was very busy...
