Riding in the front of coasters?

A couple years ago you could request to sit in the very back or the front seat on Everest but I believe they stopped because I did not see the separate queue for this on my last trip.

I requested to sit in the back seat when I was there a couple of days ago and they let me no problem :). Same thing with rock n roller coaster.

At a lot of amusement parks, there is a longer queue just before the boarding area of a rollercoaster specially for those who don't mind waiting longer foe the front seat. From what I've seen, Disney never does this as far as I can tell. Am I missing something, because I sure would like to ride front seat on Everest one of these days.
Before you go on the ride ask the cm and tell them you want to be in the front row, they pull you aside for the next train and VOILA you get front row. There is a seperate que space for this

I just did this on my trip two weeks ago with no problems. We did this for the front (and some back seats) on Pirates, Splash, BTMRR, Dinosaur, TT, Soarin, Living with the Land, ToT, EE, and Space. Basically, if it had a front seat, we were sitting in it. And this did not increase the wait times, at all. We asked for the front seat and the CM paused for a second to look down the gates, and then sent us to the end right away.

The only coaster I would ever wait on to ride in the front was Dueling Dragons. Now that they have changed it, I don't even bother. At WDW, I always ask to ride in the back. I always ask at RnR, Everest, and BTMRR (Space I just take whatever). I've never been turned down. Indiana Jones Adventure is also more fun if you ride in the back imo.

Any time any member or our family has requested a specific seat, Disney has been kind enough to let us wait a bit longer for it, including all coasters and Soarin' and TOT.

I request the front of most coasters - Expedition Everest (the line is a little hidden and it can get quite long, but it's there! Ask the CM), Splash Mountain, Space Mountain (I find this really freaky because at the top, it's like staring into the abyss), etc.

With RNRC, I ask for the back because it's faster and with Soarin', I never have any patience to wait but I've always wanted to sit at the top! Maybe this Dec... :)

If you ask when you get to the front of the line, they'll usually tell you to step to the side and they'll get you in the front of the next car.

Sidenote: This is not always a great idea. DH and I did this on Everest and I killed a butterfly with my face.

That's why when I sit in the front of coasters I ride with my mouth wide open. You never know just what free proteins you might catch!!

Everest and RnRC both have front row lines. When you get the CM who asks you how many in your party, ask for the front, and they will direct you to the line. Sometimes there is little extra wait, other times you may be waiting another 10-20 trains. They will also usually allow for special requests of back row, middle car, etc. The same goes for the other coasters, just be prepared to wait on the side like a troublemaker until they can accommodate you.

I'm one of those weirdos who always want to sit in the front no matter what ride it is. All you have to do is ask. Only once have I been turned down by a cast member and this was on Living with the Land (out of all rides!). It was empty too!

I hate the back too though in case of e-stop and the car behind can't stop. I wonder why I go on them lol, Space Mountain scares the pants off me, but it wouldn't if my car was the only one going round the track.
And I'll also be making sure the kids are on the inside of the ride without lapbars after today's accident. Even though I do supervise them closely.

On all the coasters we have ridden in WDW I have found the back seat to be the fastest with the most G forces so we usually hope for the back but that is kind of part of the fun in hoping but not knowing what seat you will get.

However I will say that the launch down the tunnel on RnR sitting in the front is pretty awesome!
