Which do you all think is better for the WDW to put in.....RIDES or COASTERS..............I hear everyone talkin about how disney needs coasters but arent they known for their rides?
i consider a ride something like ToT and ever RnRC because they are fin everytime you go on them........roller coasters are the same every time...they really arent as fun the 2nd 3rd or 4th time

so wut do u guys think coasters or rides ?

hmmm

i think coasters are fun...but so are rides. i think there needs to be a good mix of both! but i guess the ppl at Disney know more about whats needed than I do!

I don't agree that coasters are not as fun as rides after you have been on them three or four times. If I were to experience, for example, The Hulk at Islands of Adventure four times in a day or Batman at 6 Flags, the fourth time through would be much more of a thrill than the fourth time through "Winnie the Pooh," or "Its a Small World."

I agree with CEO (and BuckyAcorn - welcome!) that a mix makes the WDW parks magical. It would be a mistake to stop putting in new rides to focus exclusively on roller coasters. Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin is an example of a relatively new ride that has, IMO, improved Tomorrowland. Ditto Maelstrom in Norway, though not "recently."

Dark rides are classic Disney, in my opinion ... but I do think the future is dark rides with a faster pace (a la Dinosaur or Indiana Jones Adventure). Rides are becoming longer and queues are becoming more developed.

Balance between every genere of attraction is the key.

Darkride Coasters.... along the line of what Expedition Everest should be. Things like Mission Space should be last priority in my mind.

A lot of great ideas. I too like the ratio of one coaster to three rides. And I also think a park or section of park devoted to the villains to be a great idea as well. It's a matter of balancing out the different attractions that make for a great park.

Unfortunately that brings us back to the inprobability of a new park any time soon.

A mix would be great but I would go more 50/50. The thing is that a Disneyfied Coaster would not be like your typical 6 flags coaster.

i have to agree with the 50/50 thing. if everything was coasters, then i think it would really limit your audience and it would take on the image of a "six flags" type of park.

just my 2 cents

I think that splash mountain is the perfect combination of Thrill and Dark ride. More rides like that would be GREAT! The only downfall is for those with small children or people unable to go on the thrill rides. My 3 year old can't wait to go on Splash, but she is 2 inches to short.

Coasters ARE fun over and over again. But remember, this is Disney. That means they aren't just going to build a coaster and leave it out there in the open like other parks. The theaming and story is the #1 priority for Disney attractions. So I don't think if they build a coaster it's going to be "blah".

I think the Mummy ride is similar to what Everest will be. -Steph

Disney's EE will probably be very similar to that of Revenge fo the mummy.

Its the perfect combination of ride with rollercoaster...

Altho the revenge of the mummy is smaller in size it looks pretty promising.

But when EE open i have a feeling it will blow the competition away.
