From what I gather, its mainly focusing on the mining of the 7 dwarfs..

But rumor is that Snow will appear in the cottage at the end of the ride.
Not really. The coaster could have easily coexisted with the dark ride without either being redundant.I think Disney wanted another family-friendly roller coaster, rather than just a dark ride, so re-invented the snow white dark ride, as a family coaster...

Soft openings getting closer & closer me thinks
Update designs could have been pulled from the work done for Disneyland and Disneyland Paris.Very true - would have been nice for them to have both! But, then again, if I remember correctly, dark ride was getting old and needed some major refurb...
Quite the contrary from what I heard. Snow White will actually do meet and greets in Town Square while Anna and Elsa bump her. @drew81 - is it true Snow White will steer clear because the focus is technically the dwarfs? But rumor is that Snow will appear in the cottage at the end of the ride.

The cottage will contain a show scene with an animatronic Snow White, not a live one.

Very nice. We are eagerly awaiting our January 2015 trip. In 2010 all we saw was dirt and construction and walls. To see this coming together is very exciting. Our expectations are high just for the detail of the expansion. Whether we like the rides or not is something to be seen. But we love the pics and videos out on here and youtube.
Because the mine ride displaced the planned M&Gs so they had to go somewhere. Not saying it's a good reason.
