Ride and Show Photo Policies

I was wondering what Rides/Shows have the no photography policy? I know that PotC is "No Flash", and that most of the theater shows (HoP, CoP, AA) are No Photo/Video. Any others I'm missing? I'm going mid-September and I'm taking my new DSLR and plan to take as many pictures as possible!

Thanks!!

No flash pictures in anyplaces that involve darkness is one thing...
Also, SM has videocamera issues while riding. Think it's the infrared lighting that distracts security cameras inside it...

It sucks, though, you can't videotape CoP or OMD or Circle of Life. Those are shows I haven't videotaped yet, & plan to do someday...

No flash photos on ANY dark ride or dark portion of a ride.

No external video lighting on ANY dark ride or dark portion of ride.

Turn off any infra red (it isn`t a laser) autofocus system - if needs be set to manual infinity and leave it there if you don`t want to manual focus.

I wish these were enforced...can't tell you how many times I see flashes on dark rides.

It really irks me when someone decides that their ride experience trumps the other guests' ride and snaps flash-photos at warp speed.:fork:

Nothing ruins a good dark ride than some moron who's doing a pretty darn convincing impression of a strobe light.

Now that I think about it...I don't think I've ever seen anyone asked by a CM to put the camera away... What's up with that?

i will admit that in the past I have been guilty of this. Now I have my nice Fuji DSLR so flash is no longer needed. My main question was what rides/shows are NO photo/video.

I'm not one of these idiots who tried to take pictures of the Hitchhiking Ghost in my Doom Buggy on HM, or of Madam Liota (spelling). The worse is the day they added Jack Sparrow to PotC. Now when boats stop at the end and he speaks and sings you would think Johnny Depp himself is sitting there. All it is is a flood of flashes going off. One time I have heard a CM come over the PA in PotC and announce to turn off flashes or put the cameras away. It just depends on the CM. Most don't care though. ::veryconfu

Flashes can be turned off...it really not that difficult. I don't care if people take pictures, I just don't want to see flashes on a dark ride is all.

Several times during my last trip we heard CMs telling guests off for using flash photography over the tannoy. really annoyed me because it really ruins the whole experience.

It's difficult to monitor and even harder to enforce.

I agree the flashes in a dark ride really irk me. And I wish it was a universal rule. Either allow guests to or don't. It bothers me when some cast memebers care about the enjoyment of the attraction for some guests, and then others say oh well I told them not my problem.

Especially because I once went into the One Man's Dream museum attraction and I was told I could not take pictures by a cast member. Which really saddened me. The same cast member even came back and reminded me when he thought I had taken a picture. ( I hadn't). I really wanted to get some great pics from there too.

But then I see other people take a bunch of pics. Makes me nervous sometimes to take pics because I don't want to bother people or break the rules but it's so back and forth.

That`s what really annoys me... inconsistant rules.

 What did you wanted to take pictures of? As far as I know, everything except the film is available for picture-taking! :veryconfu

Guess you had a "biddy" old CM, then?

He was a forty or so older guy with glasses. I don't know. He just really stressed to me no photographing. Then he literally followed me around to ensure me and my friends didn't take pics. And like I said, at one point he stepped up to remind me because he thought I had. It really ruined the experience for me.

Was there a change maybe over time? It was pretty new when this happened.

Well, I would go ahead & take pics anyway.

Ever since opening up about 7-8 years ago, I never was told to not take photographs of anything there. Really odd...
