Richard Sherman and Tim O'Day on "small world" at MK today....

Just read that Tim O'Day and Richard Sherman were on the MK version of "it's a small world" today....when I rode last week, the audio was a train wreck. The same missing tracks from last March and April, the most glaring being the complete lack of instrumentation in the finale room. Other than the children and adult voices at the end, the only musical accompaniment in the finale is the German band. I wonder if these two will say anything to anyone about the sad condition of the attraction.

I'm going to assume that we are thinking of two different Richard Shermans.

Rode today, didnt see them but would have loved to..... The attraction is in a sad state in some ways. There is no audio/music in the load/unload, and its just ugly through there anymore with scrap metal stairways and railings, too much white that is dirty, it use to be so colorful and filled with lights and fountains. The cowboy is gone from the finale room Im guessing for work being done on it. And of course the paint issue with the walls in the Pacific room. Everything else though seemed okay. The park was massive pandemonium tonight and gridlocked around fireworks time, what a mess. Electrical parade ended after the petes dragon float, what happened to the finale America unit?

I guess the coming refurb can't come fast enough.

I wonder if they will try to insert any of the magic band connections that they've discussed in the past? You know, the designing a doll at home in advance of the trip or updating the final scene with the postcards?

Could this be why IASW had up to 45 minute wait on Saturday? Haha!

Noticed all that too. Small World definitely needs some love.

And yeah, the park was a wreck Saturday night, jeez! Total mayhem, felt like a summer crowd. I was told they were short-staffed for MSEP's finale unit. Doesn't really seem credible to me. I'm guessing it was a maintenance issue/couldn't get the float out. MSEP hadn't played the previous night, I don't see why they couldn't have spent a few hours trying to fix whatever was wrong with it. Oh wait...this is TDO we're talking about...FYI the USA float didn't run for either the 8pm or 10pm showings.

I rode IASW yesterday and ended up being stuck on it for about 45 minutes before a CM waded through the water and pulled us back to where we could get off. The boat had stopped and the lights had turned on a few times before the final breakdown too.

Thank God that they turned the music off after about 20 minutes.

Disney makes sure that they won't have another lawsuit from people being stuck on IASW like it did in Disneyland not too long ago.

I expected it to be busy, but it was just insanely ridiculous. The place is just not doable anymore and theres no longer a slow season. I would never want to be in the MK if something major happened and there was mass panic, I cant even imagine. You could die just from being trampled to death..... I feel sorry for the castmembers who have to deal with with the crowds daily. One of them was yelling at people to move to the sidewalk,,,what sidewalk!!! you coudlnt even find one much less see the pavement below your feet. They have a crowd control problem that has gotten out of hand I think. And the triple wide strollers arent helping matters.

There have been many times I have stood in that mass of people in the hub and it is certainly not pleasant. It's bad enough that you can't move, no matter what direction you try to go, but to have less than pleasant guests (and who can blame them?) swear and yell at each other, only makes it worse. You are certainly correct that in a panic situation (fire or other emergency, etc.) mass pandemonium would happen and trampling deaths could certainly occur. I know it's something folks would rather not think about, but sometimes those post fireworks crowds terrify me. I fear for the day something like that happens.

That said, this is a major safety issue that Disney needs to address before it's too late. Crowds after fireworks are inevitable, but there should be more CMs and a better traffic pattern to alleviate them. They are simply not doing this in Orlando.

I'd just love to see Bob and Willow during this madness on a busy night like regular guests (ha! like that would ever happen...) and see if something would be done.
