Because it just seems that it's pointing out a over weight person. In which the reason is why??
I realize this is just throwing fuel to the fire, but... glandular problem, thyroid problem, whatever it is, actively choosing to be as inactive is possible is what causes people to balloon to sizes like that in the first place. The same health issues exist all over the world, yet you rarely see people that big outside of the US.
The man in the second picture is breaking the rules. Disney has a rule against more then one person on a scooter.
That rule only applies to ECVs rented from Disney.

The reality is there is NO medicine that magically induces weight. What the medicine does is enhance your already flawed lifestyle. People who live normal lifestyles don't just balloon to 350lbs. But what do I know? I'm sure the fast food and Doritos had nothing to do with it, blame the meds.

I hate to assume but I can only feel that most of you have not entered the park with someone that legitimately needs the GAC and some of you forget that this is a once in a lifetime vacation for some.

The alternative entrance GAC when properly used not only allows a person with difficulty to stand or what a shortened ride wait time, but it also allows a shortened day. My family member that needs this GAC would not be able to visit the parks the way some of us do, let alone enjoy it. This is why Universals pass does not work for him.

Just remember that it's the people that abuse the system that needs a stop, not the genuine users.

Maybe they should consider giving out different cards for peak/off peak etc

Having worked GS at universal I can honestly say I had people come to me during HHN saying "I'm claustrophobic and asthmatic and need an AAP" no honey you need to turn around and walk away. But managers would make us give them out!!!!

I personally having worked with these cards think they need to bring back things like family rooms. You say you have anxiety, claustrophobia, asthma, diabetes, affected by heat etc etc but not anything that will get you a handicap parking badge, you go in the family room with one other family member.

Now I know some will still try to abuse this system, it would just be simpler if Disney were able to accept proof, like a handicap badge etc

A simple google search would show you a lot about things you obviously don't understand. I checked to see if this info was hard to find. It's not.

The facts are out there for you to find, if you want them. The proof is available. You can learn or you can remain ignorant. Up to you. The smart person would attempt to learn about it before shooting their mouth off.

Because, as a society, we have reached the point where being obese is considered a handicap. Even worse, we have reached a point where critizising such individuals is a faux pas... What does that teach our children?
Not to make fun of people.

But that is a parenting choice some people want to make and some people don't. I'm guessing your parents did not. What you teach your children is, of course, entirely up to you.

Merely being obese is not a handicap, but being severely obese could become a handicapping condition if a persons weight becomes so large they are unable to get around (ambulate) in a reasonable manner.

And why would anyone ever think even for one second it was acceptable to critisize someone for a health problem? Obesity, particularly morbid obesity, is indeed a health problem, even if too often it is the individuals own fault.

I understand... but posting a pic of someone over weight is not the right thing to do. Im sorry this could be someones family member or friend on here. No she is not either to me but still pointing out a certain person is wrong. I tell ya what. Next time you in DW and you see someone like this tell them how you feel and see what happens. Then come back on here and tell me.
