Trip Report Revisiting 2016's War and peace I took one for the team

Hello it's me again and if you want to know what the title means you'll have to stick around for a while. Sorry but no spoiler This trip was 3 years in the making and the official countdown started at 439 days. Surprisingly the time seemed to fly by. Our little adventure was taken by me (for those who don't know I'm Figmentfan423 Figgy to my friends here), my dh and our 2 boys James 14 and fellow Disney planner and M who's a bit older autistic and doesn't like getting his picture taken or me talking about him. Our trip began at

am on July 30th. We sang happy birthday to my little guy while driving down the street on our way to Disney. I'm a very mean mommy who made my baby spend his birthday in the car. Any way it was smooth sailing until half way through Virginia where we hit rain and traffic all the way to the North Carolina border. It was bad enough we worried a bit about making it to our hotel for the first night but once we hit NC the skies cleared and so did the traffic:joyfull: and we made it to Florida

to take the obligitory first Florida picture of the boys. With a bit of luck and excitement we made it to Ormond Beach to get a good night's sleep.

Dinner at Antijtitos was great, relaxing and sans children. I got an Antorita Margarita and Jim got a glass of sangria and he said it was the best one on this tripView attachment 162512 View attachment 162513 View attachment 162514
Next up guacamole made table side and chipsView attachment 162515 View attachment 162516
I got a veggie fajita and Jim got the beef fajita. We were thinking about a goody afterwards but we were too stuffedView attachment 162517 View attachment 162518
The talented fellows were playing outside after we finished dinnerView attachment 162519
Now that looks like real authentic mexican fresh food!

I checked out the menu prior and decide to go to Lombardi's solo. I took a couple of pics along the way. Once there I got a Waterfront(again only fitting) and the portabella quinoa both were excellent as was Chef Dillon again!View attachment 162588 View attachment 162589 View attachment 162591 View attachment 162592 View attachment 162594 I got to keep the glass. Yea!
Is Lombardi's worth it?
I wasnt sure to eat inside the parks as we had bad experiences with the quick food.

We met back up and had a bit of time before the parade so we rode MIB and ET again Then we saw the parade. It was very cute but also very, very shortView attachment 162599 View attachment 162600 View attachment 162601 View attachment 162604 View attachment 162609

You need to see it in one of the stops I think, so it "looks longer" (aka characters stop, and dance. As it is pretty much a "move it Shake it Celebrate it" clone)

From there I walked back to Studios and met up with the boys and we saw 2 great acts one was like the Jamminators but they were dressed in construction gear and climbed on scaffolding and the other was a group that juggled fish. Silly me took video of that and the site won't let me post it. I'm going to have to go back through a gazillion pics and hope to get those up eventually:facepalm::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: any way we rode Mummy which the boys kept saying as better than Everest. Then it was time for a blackmail picView attachment 162663
Meet a minnion and ride Shrek and minnionsView attachment 162665
Try on silly hatsView attachment 162667
And get a pic with this guyView attachment 162668
You can always upload to youtube on a personal account, and use the direct links to post here (use the option in youtube of "unlisted". ) so the video isnt public to everyone.

The sit down places were all good and almost the same price as qs in the parks. Leaky Cauldron, 3 Broomsticks and Thunder Terrace were all good as qs goes.

We did. I thought that was what it was like. But seeing they only have one parade I was hoping it would be longer.

That would imply I was willing to get an account there. I'm a total squib when it comes to computers.
technically, if you have a gmail account.. it automatically "makes" a link with youtube. you just need to get in, login with your gmail and it will create an account for you automatically.
The rest is pretty simple. configure account and upload!
and while uploading, just select "unlisted" from the type of upload (it allows for PRIVATE aka only for you, PUBLIC, aka everyone sees, UNLISTED aka only the people who have the link can see it)
