Trip Report Revisiting 2016's War and peace I took one for the team

Hello it's me again and if you want to know what the title means you'll have to stick around for a while. Sorry but no spoiler This trip was 3 years in the making and the official countdown started at 439 days. Surprisingly the time seemed to fly by. Our little adventure was taken by me (for those who don't know I'm Figmentfan423 Figgy to my friends here), my dh and our 2 boys James 14 and fellow Disney planner and M who's a bit older autistic and doesn't like getting his picture taken or me talking about him. Our trip began at

am on July 30th. We sang happy birthday to my little guy while driving down the street on our way to Disney. I'm a very mean mommy who made my baby spend his birthday in the car. Any way it was smooth sailing until half way through Virginia where we hit rain and traffic all the way to the North Carolina border. It was bad enough we worried a bit about making it to our hotel for the first night but once we hit NC the skies cleared and so did the traffic:joyfull: and we made it to Florida

to take the obligitory first Florida picture of the boys. With a bit of luck and excitement we made it to Ormond Beach to get a good night's sleep.

After that we headed to King's Cross, like I said you do need to ride the train a few times

Threre was no line for either Dragon Challenge or Hippogrith so we rode both. Kong had a long line so we skipped that on out way to spiderman , Storm force or Hulk which surprisingly didn't have much of a line at all. On our way out we stopped at the Christmas shop to get something SHHH!!!!!!! I'm not saying what! So don't even ask LOL

Tuesday August 23rd I got these on the way into IOA and straight to Kong before a long line formed. This week nothing really had any lines at all except Kong, Forbidden Journey and Gringott's and even the last 2 didn't get very long. It was almost like we had parts of the park to ourselves at times

Then it was back to RRR, Storm Force(my dh refused to get on it after the first time) and Spiderman before heading to Jurassic Park. Then we hit Forbidden Journey and Hippogrith before getting back on the Hogwarts express. BTW I'm banning my dh from Honeyduke's! They had a buy 4 get 2 free sale on the fudge.

It wasn't serving lunch that day but was open for looking around and goody buying. Oh well one of the nice things about Universal is most places don't require dining reservations.

It was only a quick walk to Confisco's Jim and I ordered a 1/2 pitcher of sangria and to say it was only meh is being polite. I don't think either of us had more than a glass and it would have filled both twice:( James got the bacon chicken sandwich and the other guys got burgers. The place is beautiful, the service was good the food was good

The boys walked back to studios to go on RRR I walked over to Margaritaville to "take one for the team" I promised to get a margarita and review it so here it is. First the place is well themed both the decorations and Jimmy Buffet music really set the mood. The volcano going off was great and it burped when finished. I asked the bartender which was the best margarita to try and he suggested the Perfect Margarita or the watermelon one. To which I replied that's a rather hard choice. he had the perfect solution he could give me a combo of the 2. It was so very yummy! Also seeing the boys stole 1/2 my lunch I got an order of gf safe fries to go with it. The fries were perfectly hot, not greasy, not soggy, perfectly crisp and lightly salted. I'd say if you get a chance GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now would I be able to figure out a way to get back before going home? Stay tuned

From there I walked back to Studios and met up with the boys and we saw 2 great acts one was like the Jamminators but they were dressed in construction gear and climbed on scaffolding and the other was a group that juggled fish. Silly me took video of that and the site won't let me post it. I'm going to have to go back through a gazillion pics and hope to get those up eventually:facepalm::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: any way we rode Mummy which the boys kept saying as better than Everest. Then it was time for a blackmail pic

Margaritaville is so much fun, especially the one in Orlando. One is opening up this coming week about an hour away from me. Guess what I am doing next Friday night?!?
