To be honest I have no problem with Hollow. If we didn't get Alice and get Hollow instead I wouldn't be upset. It looks great. Imagine that water/light show all around the tree at nighttime. Boy would that be great.

Sorry if it has been posted, but looks like Pooh's M&G will reside in Cinderella's showbuilding. Pretty cool! I hope they theme it nice in there!

OK, believe it or not, I finally had a chance today to completely see the whole FYL expansion from THIS concept.

And some questions/comments...

  1. Those colourful dots on Beast's castle are confusing me. Are they people, in which can go up to the castle or just really florid plants?
  2. By the Ariel's Adventure attraction, was there anything new about that windmill? I still believe it's just a merch shop, based from the original plans...
  3. Near Cinderella's Chateau, isn't that teal gazebo structure awfully similar to the Swan Boat load/unload dock?
  4. Agree with Scar... the wooded area REALLY looks like a Pooh M&G. Makes me wonder if they'll keep the blasted 100 Acre tree area.
  5. If what they say for Aurora's M&G is confirmed, that little cottage area looks to be incredibly cramped.
  6. Interesting in how Pixie Hollow seems to be separated. The tree is on one end, while the giant flowers are at another.
  7. Does anyone know what the heck is that roller-coaster structure yet? Casey Jr.?
  8. Will any of this be visible from TL?
  9. Oh, and LOVE the spacing of the green/trees! :D:lookaroun
Some have speculated that they are seperated because they are two seperate things, perhaps an Alice in Wonderland area where the flowers are and then Pixie Hollow...

  1. Those colourful dots on Beast's castle are confusing me. Are they people, in which can go up to the castle or just really florid plants? On that concept art, it's suppose to be people. Whether it happens or not, who knows.
  2. By the Ariel's Adventure attraction, was there anything new about that windmill? I still believe it's just a merch shop, based from the original plans... Most likely still a gift shop.
  3. Near Cinderella's Chateau, isn't that teal gazebo structure awfully similar to the Swan Boat load/unload dock? It is very similar now that you mention it.
  4. Agree with Scar... the wooded area REALLY looks like a Pooh M&G. Makes me wonder if they'll keep the blasted 100 Acre tree area. It is a Pooh M&G. They are remaking it, but moving it over quite a bit since the existing Playful Spot is where Cinderella's Attraction will be.
  5. If what they say for Aurora's M&G is confirmed, that little cottage area looks to be incredibly cramped. It goes into the show building in the back, so it's much larger then it looks.
  6. Interesting in how Pixie Hollow seems to be separated. The tree is on one end, while the giant flowers are at another. I find that interesting too, but as the Imagineers said at the Expo, PH and Dumbo are really in early concept.
  7. Does anyone know what the heck is that roller-coaster structure yet? Casey Jr.? All we know is that it will most likely be themed to Dumbo. And it is just an overlay of Barnstormer.
  8. Will any of this be visible from TL? I would assume some is, but who knows.
  9. Oh, and LOVE the spacing of the green/trees! :D:lookaroun Me too! :D

Answers/Comments are in bold. :)

Alice is completely off base, I believe. Where are you hearing that from?
It was never said that Alice was going to be included but some, myself included, saw the ToonTown RR station rethemed and it had the thatched roof, similar to the cottage she became a giant in, and the large flowers are reminiesent of the ones you see in the movie when she is with the Catepillar. It was an assumption that could be completly off base...

Just a coincidence, then.

Also after looking at that artwork, the mermaid area looks beautiful, but is it really going to be that ornate and intricate? Its a little reminescent of 20,000 leagues and maybe that was the intention which would be great. What is on the other side of the cinderella showbuilding tho facing mermaid? Will that just be shops like the other post mentioned where the windmill is? Just wondering how they are going to hide the backside of that building.

Also that gazebo like structure in the woods area almost looks Chinese to me moreso than the swan boat dock one, could it be a Mulan meetngreet?

Is there going to be a dress code for Fantasy Land? Everyone in the concept art has brown pants. OMG what are they thinking?! TDO is at is again with their wacky ideas.

Doubt that, not announced and it does not fit.

Bad joke! VERY bad joke! (pelts Uncle Lupe with various rotten fruits and vegetables)

The TDO-bashing is already old, stale and annoying.

It actually seems like it could be- but isn't.

... did the Imagineers ever even address this area though? They probably did, but just to make sure...

I'd be really excited to learn something from these flowers for especially in the month of June. There's a wealth of happiness and romance in the golden afternoon, y'know?

Well, it's never come up from WDI in PR or in other ways of getting information.

Yea, I asked Frank and Rhonda (think they're married?) and they had no idea about an AIW spot in the expansion. :lookaroun

Although it was never directly mentioned at D23 or anywhere else for that matter, there was that ominous phrase of "we have some other surprises in store as well" or something to that effect, wasn't there? I'm not counting it in or out but I'll remain optimistic about the possibility until we see everything that is being put into the expansion and everything explained in detail by a Disney exec. I'm officially in "wait & see" mode. Hopefully TDO won't be in "hack & slash" mode on the budget. :zipit:

Doesnt Imagineering have some say so about just how much can be cut? I was thinking the project as a whole was greenlit from corporate in California. So just wondering how far TDO can go?

They make such a cute couple!!!

And yeah, I think the "surprises" and such was a reference to the PH expansion that they want to do. One that I really hope they do. The tech for that would be the moniker.

Not really, they are bound but what the parks are willing to spend on an attraction. They typically overstate the costs in order to get the most out of their resources, but often times they're still forced to cut elements that they wanted to include.
