I can't imagine why WDW has any of the plexiglass anywhere. With masks no longer required on transportation, indoors anywhere it's the only reminant left of the covid restriction left. Unless they have plans at some point to bring any restrictions/indoor masks back they should take everything down.

If they did bring restrictions back, (full disclosure I pray the don't) I can only imagine the fury that will be unleashed at management and cast members.

I doubt it's about safety anymore, now it's about the cost of removing them. There are cases where they are screwed into things that will now need to be patched and repainted when they remove them.

There are a few random cast members on Main Street who will pin trade right now, mainly just a few people at Casey's. It will be really nice to see it make a real comeback.
Last Saturday at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor there was a bib with pins for trading that I saw staff leaving shift hand over to an incoming staff. I was waiting for my ADR at The Plaza. They were trading with folks.

We only started pin trading in the last 6 months. Before, it was cast members all over the place right? Now there are a few people starting to trade on Main Street (which is great!) but I haven't seen any other cast members in Magic Kingdom or any other parks yet.

It seems like it’s starting to pick back up. There are pinboards up around the parks. Pete’s Silly Sideshow, Memento Mori, Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar, Sid Cahengua’s, etc. Ask a staff and they can usually circle them on your Times Guide

Small World, Living With the Land, Grand Fiesta Tour, Tower of Terror, Slinky Dog, and Mickey and Minnies, Seas with Nemo all still had plexi in the last few weeks based on live stream videos.

I was in the parks last week and took a look at the remaining plexi-glass. I didn't ride every ride, but to the list above I can add Smugglers Run, Rise of the Resistance and Navi River Journey. As to what it will take to remove them there are a couple variations of how they were attached.

Navi River Journey is a good example of what is probably the worst case, look like they mounted some of the sections right into the concrete. I believe the remaining walls in Small World are also bolted into the floor.

As I mentioned above, Grand Fiesta Tour is mainly strapped to the railings, but they also bolted it into a couple of the columns this will also require a repair to remove them properly. The other interesting thing I noticed that that and some others queues is that they put some sort of caulking between the railing and the panel. I doubt this was structural so maybe it was just to prevent people from sticking things in between. This may also make removal harder.

Here is a pictures of Living with the Land with the U bolts holding the panels to the railings. In this case the U bolts where just pieces of all-thread bent to shape. This is not ideal since the exposed thread could damage the wood railings. This is the only place I saw this, the other queues had proper U bolts that had only enough thread to bolt it on. Might be because these were square railings where most are round. Most of the queues use some variation of this technique.

I can't figure out why they don't remove it. If anything they'll bring back indoor masks, (which I pray they don't any time soon). I don't think they're bring back and install all the plexiglass.

Not sure if this is a victim on the pandemic or not, but one thing I noticed closed last week was the news stand at the front of Magic Kingdom.

There’s still a ton of retail locations closed, this one in particular is bad bad you’re not even into the park yet and are greeted with a closed store.

Unsure, don’t spend much time there

Maybe with CRPs returning to Epcot that will free up some cast to open more locations?

Geez, I had no idea there were this many closed still. I swear every time we get closer to being back to normal, I get reminded still how far away we actually are from being back.
