Return to Halloweentown

Yes, I literally just saw the commercial for the movie. And indeed it is the girl Sara Paxton who plays Marnie. Wasn't she the mermaid from that film? Anyway, I think she looked a lot like Alexis Blidel with the way her hair is. I guess I didn't see the difference. Wasn't Sara Paxton blonde in Aquamarine?

So, what did you think of the movie?
Did anybody else think that they made the ending like that so that they could make another one?

Unfortunately, I didn't catch all of it. But it is on again tonight. But from what I saw, it looked like it had more story, and a bigger budget than the other movies in the series, or at least compared to Halloweentown High.

What did everyone else think of it? :)

I definitely thought that it was better than Halloweentown High. I personalyy thought that it was pretty good.

It was strange how they did not get the original girl to play Marnie, but they did get pretty much everyone else, including Debbie Renolds who plays the grandmother, Agatha Cromwell. Maybe the other girl was getting too old for the role. They didn't bring back the younger sister, but I guess she wasn't important to the story anyway. (I mean, how were they going to come up with a way for her to go to college too.)

Halloween Town high was so horriffically terrible that it wasn't even funny. They didn't even GO to Halloween town in that movie. I still have yet to see the new one though. I managed to catch the first Halloween town on TV the other day, and it brough back such good memories from watching it as a kid. Sure, its cheezy and on a shoe string budget, but its still charming.
