Does anyone know where I can find Epcot shirts that have the retro logos on them?

Or... short of that does anyone know if I could roll my own through cafepress or are those logos still copyrighted?

specifically I want a shirt with the Epcot / Spaceship Earth logo seen here as the first logo:

I saw that earlier today. Memories....

I have an identical baseball cap. Somewhere. Must dig it out for October!

well, if i can't find one i wonder if i can make one... does anyone on here know if it's OK to make a shirt (or poster or whatever) with Disney characters or logos on it as long as you don't sell it?

I've made a few shirts with the old Epcot logos on them that I wear to the parks and I've never had a problem.

I believe it's okay to make the shirt, as long as you don't sell the shirt

Legally, no. It's entirely illegal to use copyrighted images in any form. Selling them doesn't come into play on legality. (It does come into play for damages awarded in court but it's still illegal either way.) So printing a shirt with an image from the web, or a character, or a logo for a ride is technically illegal under United States Copyright Law.

That said, odds are, you wouldn't be stopped in any way. But seeing as this board tends to jump down the throat of anyone even remotely considering breaking a rule (ex: your kid turned 3 two days before your trip? darn well better by a ticket!!) it baffles me how many people think that this legal violation is ok.

Ultimately, it's up to your morals, conscious and belief. If you don't view it as that big of a deal, then feel free. If, however, you don't like breaking any law, regardless of whether or not you agree with it or not, then you should refrain. I make no comment either way other then to clarify the legal misconception.

I've actually been complimented on my Horizons and vintage Epcot shirts. My newest Horizons shirt has the logo on the front, with "If we can dream it, we can do it!", and then on the back has the spiels from the queue for Mesa Verde, Sea Castle, and Brava Centauri. My newest Epcot shirt has the Epcot logo on the front, with the other logos and pavilion names on the back. These are the ones I made with the any-colour t-shirt transfers on teal and pink shirts.

I have older ones on white and beige shirts for Epcot and all the pavilion logos, Horizons, The Land (it says "Just make believe you're a tiny little seed..." with the logo), and Imagination (the front has Figment and the back has the "two tiny wings..." song). I made designs for a World of Motion shirt and a Magic Kingdom shirt but I never got to making the actual shirts.

I also made a Peter Noone shirt for Flower & Garden last year but he didn't notice it. :(

At Cafepress there used to be a bunch of EPCOT shirts with the logos.

Here is a shot of one of them, the front had all the Pavillion logos in a line.

While it is illegal, I doubt Disney really cares. You aren't cutting into their profits because they don't make such a shirt, and you really aren't likely to buy a different Disney-made shirt instead of a retro logo shirt (come on, is a Horizons fan going to buy a Stitch's Great Escape shirt, instead?) and you're still advertising for them...
