My fiance, soon to be husband, and I are going to Disney for our honeymoon in May. We have been the past two years and have experienced many really great restaurants on site. This coming year we have all our ADR's already picked except one evening. We will be in Animal Kingdom that day I believe, but we haven't found any restaurants of interest in the park, so we will travel somewhere else for dinner. I am looking for some advice or recommendations for dining experiences that you guys think we should not miss out on! We haven't been to many resort restaurants so recommendations there would be appreciated too! Thanks!

I like AKL options for AK days. Boma, Sanaa and Jiko would be your ts options if you went that route. We've eaten at Boma, and while we liked it- the menus and atmospheres at Sanaa and Jiko do more for me.

For hotels, I always pick WCC at WL. I think WL is a great place to visit. Very nice gift shop and if you time it right, you can go see the geyser go off.

It's a fun meal and sometimes the food is really good. Sometimes it is dry, though. I do think WCC is on an upswing for food quality these days. High time, too!

California Grill is amazing, especially when you step out at the roof and watch the fireworks from up there!
Not only great food but also a great view while you eat and, of coure, the possibility to watch Wishes from that special place makes it one of the greatest dining experiences on Disney property for me!!!:)

We always do 'Ohana that night. Just hop on the bus from the park and then monorail to MK to get back to the resort! Yum!

'Ohanna is my absolute favorite! :P

For my AK day, I like to eat at Sanaa, Boma or Jiko. They are close by, I get to see the Lodge and the food is fabulous.

I would agree with the posters above. Since you will already be at Animal Kingdom, a trip to the lodge would be great! Its a really amazing resort and I hear all three table services are really good. I haven't been to them yet, but I hope to cross them off the list soon. That whole resort is just so unique its something you have to do!

Go to Jiko. Our favorite reason to go to the Animal Kingdom is that it's a good opportunity to go to the Animal Kingdom Lodge afterward. Jiko is my favorite Disney restaurant. Great wine list, wonderful appetizers, a fairly romantic atmosphere, and a unique African-inspired menu make it the closest thing we have to a "must do" Disney World restaurant.

Staying with the Animal Kingdom Theme I recommend Sanaa or Jiko. I am partial to Jiko (you all know that by now...lol), I think it is truly a devine dining experience.
