Restaurant Reviews!

Reviews to us are not as important as what is on the menu. My wife is particular about what she eats so more than anything, what food is offered dictates where we end up eating.

I do read reviews but I have to say, I pay more attention if they seem to be overwhelmingly favourable, compared to negative ones. For example, if I was really set on BOG (which I'm not thankfully, seeing how hard it is to get a reservation!), I wouldn't let the mixed reviews put me off. However, when I had lots of people suggest Garden Grill to me on here and speak well of it, I decided to make a reservation based on those, even though I hadn't been considering it

Having just read some recent restaurant reviews on Debs All Ears. I was wondering. Does good or bad reviews play an important issue on you booking your ADRS.? .Also,if you do read them,which sites do you use.?..I recall our first visit to PORS in 2008 and " Boatwrights " had mixed reviews,most of them were uninspiring.However when I read the reviews in early 2012, most of them were very good,so we gave it a shot and we really enjoyed all our courses.Not one bad review from the three of us..Now I know everyone has a different opinion on restaurants and types of cuisine that they serve up,but I was just curious if the reviews on sites played a big issue or not.

I read them and they are a consideration. We are to the point now that we have been to most of the places with consistent great reviews so now we are exploring the places with mixed reviews. Its hard to commit to a place that is sub par but I want to give them my own chance. So we are starting to venture out a bit more but previously, i only stuck to places with great reviews.

Reviews from people are noteworthy. When I see all negative reviews, them I just say no. We like to try new places, but it is so expensive it is hard to try new and leave the favorites. So what I am saying, is if I see a lot of bad reviews like hollywood and vine, I will not good, if I see mixed reviews like ohanas, I will try it, and if it is all good reviews, I am going, like narcoossees,.
