Resort options?

My family is headed to WDW in late Sept/early Oct. We have been multiple times and stay at a different resort each time. PO Riverside in 2007 (liked it ok), PO French Quarter in 2009 (really liked it), and Caribbean Beach in 2011 (not a fan). We are currently in our planning phase and are heavily considering FQ again but with my kids (7 and 4) should I be looking at one of the value resorts? Also what are the pros and cons of value vs moderate??? Thanks for your help!

Let me throw my hat in for suggesting the Cabins at Fort Wilderness. You have a full kitchen, dining, living area with murphy bed, full sized bed in bedroom, bunk beds in bedroom, full bath, deck, grill, and your own driveway. Mousekeeping everyday and lots of room for kids to roam.
