Resort mugs

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows if we will see resort specific mugs return in January when the new "celebration" begins.

I predict there will be a generic Celebration mug. It would cost more to have resort-specific mugs, and Disney is aggressively cutting costs.

I wish they would bring them back now. I'm staying at ASMo for the first time in December and it would be really nice to get a mug from there. I'm sick of these generic ones. :hurl:

It does not make financial sense for them to make resort specific mugs. Heck, it would not surprise me if the new mugs are WDW generic mugs that can be used beyond the "What will you celebrate?" promotion. I would not get my hopes up for resort specific mugs.

I don't know if it makes financial sense to have resort-specific mugs. It would cost more money, but you have to spend money to make money. Maybe you'd sell a lot more mugs if you spent a little extra to customize them.

But whether it makes sense or not, WDW is in cost-cutting mode so I don't think they'll bring back resort-specific mugs very soon.

YES! I would keep buying them (and I do already have a few). They make me smile each morning with my coffee at home. However because they are generic. I am absolutely bringing back my mug from August for use in December. Why should I buy a new one that is exactly the same as the one I have at home.

I think the old using-a-mug-on-multiple-trips controversy is pretty much dead now that the mugs are generic. If Disney really cared about that rule, they'd still be stamping the mugs with a resort and a date.

don't they have a barcode on the ones that you can buy at the water parks? if disney cared enough it would be easy to do for the resorts. oh and not only am i bringing back my resort mug, but also my animal kingdom refillable for .99 cup that i got in sept.

I know I'm not the only one, but I may be one of the few to admit it

Be careful! Admitting that around here is like running down the streets of Iran saying "Praise Jesus". :ROFLOL:
