Resort Mugs?????

I AM A LITTLE CONFUSED ON THE WHOLE RESORT MUG ISSUE.

1) HOW MUCH ARE THEY?
2) WHAT EXACTLY CAN THEY BE REFILLED WITH?
3) WHERE CAN THEY BE REFILLED?
4) APROX. HOW LARGE OR HOW MANY OUNCES ARE THEY?

ANY INFO WOULD BE GRETLY APPRECIATED!!!:sohappy: :sohappy:

I love the mugs. We always get our monies worth plus some out of the mugs.

Yeah, sometimes I've had to run from the room to the food court, but it's worth it. My kids still use the mugs at home and they take them to school with frozen water in them to last them throughout the day.

I just came back from my first WDW trip a couple of weeks ago and I think that the mugs are a great idea. I used mine 2 or 3 times a day - it is well worth it since a soda can from the machine was a $1.00. I was at the Poly so sure enough I had to walk in the rain to get my mug filled but I didn't mind.

I love the mugs, as well. I only wish they held more than 10 or 12 ounces, because it would save me the constant return trips for refills (I am a Diet Coke fanatic).

My favorite part of the mugs is their souvenir value. Every time I use the mug at home I am reminded of either StormAlong Bay or the Food & Fun Center at the Contemporary.

On our last visit we didn't purchase the mugs and now I wish we did - definately going to next time!

Do you need to show the person at the check out a receipt if you purchased them earlier in your stay? If you are checking out with your food order at the food court (such as the All Stars) before getting your drink with a pre-purchased mug, how does the cashier know you didn't just pick it up?

You can't just "pick up" a mug. They are kept behind the counters and you get them after paying for your food, etc.

In all the times I've been down we have never been questioned.

Disney has there own version of a plastic 'zip tie' they put on the handle that the cashier cuts off with some wire cutters after you buy them.

this may sound weird...
but can you buy resort mugs from other resorts...even though your not staying there....
we're staying at the Yacht Club....
and was wondering if we could get a mug from the Beach club too....do they check your resort IDs??? I can't remeber from last year??

I don't see why not. The snack bars are open to anyone who walks thru. Just get on line and buy one....this never occured to me.:hammer:

The Yacht and Beach Club resorts use the same mug with both names on it, so you're covered.

Also, you can buy mugs for other resorts. We stayed at the Beach Club and went to the Contemporary for dinner. I picked up a mug from the Contemporary to replace the one I had purchased the year before, which had faded from having been through the dishwasher so many times.
