Resort Mugs

Can you use your mugs from previous years or do you have to buy new mugs each year? I always buy new mugs because I thought that was the rule but a CM told me that you can reuse them so does anyone know the official rule?

LOL LOL Good one Wayne!!!! Nah I think in order to be an official member of the Belle fan Club you have to come down to Disney with us in May!! A bunch of us including Cymbal are contemplating a trip to the World in late May. Care to join us? We are probably going to shoot for PO Riverside for a resort with POFQ as a backup, in case Riverside overbooks.
And we will investigate the Mug practices from within!!!! Belle

Thanks again!!;) So to join the Belle fan club I have to come down in May?:confused: That will hard to swing since I will be going down in 2 wks. :sohappy: It will take some time for me to save up the $$$.:cry: How about a rain check or another way?:veryconfu Most likely I will be going back down in Dec.!:kiss:

P.S.-I will be staying at Port Orleans FQ when I go so let the investigation begin.....:hammer:

Congrats Wayne!!! As far as December I havent missed an early December trip since 1999. We can certainly meet up then!!! Have a wonderful time when you do go and I look foward to a trip report! Belle

Why Miss Belle (fluttering eyelids) whatever do you mean? I thought this was MY fan club:lol: Anywho, we are thinking of going in June with child. Then, maybe, a nice trip for 2 to Antigua.:D :cool:

When the mugs first came about, the CM's told us that we could use them on future trips. No one has ever said anything to us about using our old mugs. But we always end up buying new mugs (just a few), because they change every now and then. :)

so heres my final thought....perhaps you and disney should team up and form the mug police so you can crack down on such violent offenders such as me. did they change the rules because of me? if so feel free to confiscate my past collection for your future enjoyment.:p

wiskband - I did re-read your post to make sure that I had not jumped to any conclusions. I didn't. While I'm sure you were trying to make a positive point about the mugs, you never actually arrived at one....

I am already aware that you were not able to extract the point I was trying to make in my original post. You see it was more like an funny experience and not to be taken literally.
Hopefully you were able to understand the second time around. If you need further assistance, I will pm and explain in full detail.

I will probably bring 1 or 2 mugs on our next trip and buy a couple of new ones also. Has anyone experienced the barcode system yet? Has anyone actually called Disney and got a real response to this mug debate? It seems like the debate has been going on for awhile now with no difinitive answer. I to bought my mugs with the assumption that they could be reused. Until I read or hear different I will use the mug with the same resort on it only. Just my thought, using different mugs at different resorts doesn't seem right. But maybe my using old mugs isn't right either. Hopefully Disney will come out with an official response.

I am not being snappish ... you just seem to have had a difficult time understanding... so if you run into another post by me and aren't capable of understanding it I will explain it to you. This all started because you assumed I was the reason why disney has become so harsh...right? When really all I was getting at was "it is a good idea to buy the mug". So hopefully now you know.
