Resort Mugs or suitable alternative

Can anyone tell me whether the resort mugs are the same beach scene as they have been for a while? No, I am not planning on bringing an old mug to use...my niece has requested one of the mugs as a souvenir when I go to Disney in June but she already has 2 of that design.

She likes the size of them so I was thinking if they mugs are the same style as they have been for a couple of years maybe I will just buy her an alternative mug in stores - provide they aren't too huge to fit in her backpack.

Her favourite characters are Belle, Bambi and Piglet so any travel mugs with those characters on them would be ideal but she would be happy enough with another resort mug if needed.

I pray they change them before June! No lie we have 8 mugs of this design! I so ready for a different one! If I remember correctly, when Disney DOES change the mug design, they usually do it sometime in March.

Unfortunately we will have to wait it out until the decision is made to change the design. Glad I kept my resort specific mugs, sitting in my cupboard.
However YourWDWstore has travel mugs that look the same size for sale with Belle.

You know if they don't change them soon, people will begin just to use their "old" ones. I have ones just like that for both 2011 and 2012. Hopefully they're working on a new design!

You and me both! I have 6 of them and I'm hoping for a new one by June, too! I'd love some new ones!

I have 8 of the current design. If we don't see a change by late May I will have a dozen. I would love something resort specific, but at this point I will accept just about anything that is a change from the current design.

I loved when each resort had its own mug. I use to have one from the Wilderness Lodge that I used at home for years till the writing wore off.

There are other mugs in the parks you can get her. At DHS the popcorn stands have a DHS mug. Casey's in MK has a Tomorrowland Mug. Sleepy Hollow Treats in MK has a Fantasyland Mug.

The water parks also have different mugs, but your best bet would be one from World of Disney, there are lots of designs there, and you would be paying extra for them being refillable.

Yeah it would be nice if you could use ANY of that kind of mug as your refillable mug, not just the ones deemed refill appropriate by Disney.

And I do mean a Disney mug.

Ah yes, the resort specific mug...gone the way of the dinosaur. I not remember mine but still use them every day. We have a few of both the large and the small.

I also use mine at home and work on a regular basis. I have the old style *fat* mugs similar to the example shown in the top photo above. I have ASMusic and Movies versions from 2001, that had some cool detailed and perfectly themed artwork on them.

I also have a more modern *travel size* mug from 2007, with the appealing blue and silver *Year of a Million Dream* artwork. I use this one the most these days...as it is handy and compact for travel.

I have the currant version as well. Not one of my faves, as it is not sized for fitting into cup holders and the art is not that appealing to me.

I miss the Resort specific designs.

That one will probably work. I am holding out for new ones by June but if not this is my backup plan. Thanks!
