Good Morning All Disney People. So your vacation comes to it's last day,and your ready to leave your favourite resort, your home for home. What are your favourite memories of your resort? Our favourite is PORS and this year we bought a print and it hangs proudly in our Disney room. Not a day passes that I look at it and smile, wishing I was back. This 3000 miles away sucks.Anyway, what resort memories do you have?

again so many: beachs and cream at bc getting the kitchen sink and all the pix and videos we take, the twist and hustle at the pop, lounging by storm along bay, walking along the boardwalk at night, the long walks at port orleans riverside, and my personal favorite, the orchestra, band, and pianist at the grand Floridian.

One Little Spark...
Has to be the pictures...its amazing to the (our) princesses change over the years. Nothing like raising them at WDW!! While having a blast on each trip, we end up with photos to remind us of those magical times.

I agree. I love going through old pictures and videos. I watch my youtube videos regularly, and it's amazing to see how she grew up over the years...

Add me to the list of looking at pictures and video's as a matter of fact I watched one this am from our last trip. One of my favorite memories is getting up very early, looking at my sleeping family and heading out the door! I stroll around the grounds at the GF with my first cup of coffee, listening to the sounds, sitting on the dock looking at the lights at the MK or one of the resorts, pure heaven!

This 3000 miles away sucks.

I'm a bit closer... 1438 miles away and it sucks too.
At POFQ we enjoy the quiet, calming, peacefulness of the place. We've had many great interactions with the resort CM's. Taking strolls along the river banks. Walking the pathways along the well manicured grounds. Taking the leisurely boat rides to DTD. Just a few things that make us count it as home away from home.

I unknowingly brought home a tiny face towel from my last stay at a Disney resort. I was mortified because I never take such things. It sits in my house clean, folded, and ready to be returned the next time that I stay at a resort. It's a small item, but I think of staying at a Disney resort every time that I see it. I'll miss it when it's gone, I'm sure.

My favorite memories at the Beach Club are simple.
I take a red eye to Orlando each year. I get to the Beach Club early in the morning.
The lobby smells so fresh and the AC keeps it nice and cool.
Then I take my first step outside towards Epcot. The air is still and the temperature is heating up.
The beach has been cleaned and there are perfect lines in the sand.
I look over the water at Boardwalk and I know that I am home and a great vacation is just beginning.

Wow! So well stated! I love those "quiet" times too.

I have many great memories!! The one that usually stands out was my arrival at POP on Superbowl Sunday! It was Giants vs Patriots! I was checking in at the desk and heard a huge "ROAR" from the food court! It was full of Giants fans watching the game!! Unfortunately that bar is no longer there.

We were visiting WDW with friends in November. A cold front was coming through so it was rainy and grey and quite windy. We were just hanging out at the hotel and our friend suggested that we just go out and ride the monorail and check out the hotels on the loop. We ended up taking the little boat launch to the Wilderness Lodge. We were soaked by the time we got to the Lodge. I remember walking into the lobby and being in total awe. We bought some hot chocolate and sat in the warm, cozy lobby just watching the rain. I think that on that day, I fell in love with the resorts more than the parks.

My two favorite memories I relive each time I visit. First is the moment you enter the turnstiles and cross under the train station at the Magic Kingdom. I'm in another world without worries of the outside world. Can't describe it. The second would be when they start the Illuminations background music before the show with the lights just bright enough to light your way around World Showcase.

Staying at the Contemporary the first time when I was 8 is at the top of the list. Holy monorail!

Exchanging Christmas gifts with my family at all sorts of resorts during my Cast Member years.

The year my folks stayed at Coranado and I talked a friend into letting a friend and I into the room early and decorating it for the holiday. Complete with lights, garland, and even a Christmas tree with ornaments.

The time my folks stayed at the Poly and walked into a room that people were already sleeping in resulting in an upgrade to a suite and one of our favorite family stories.

There are so many more but those are my favorites off the top of my head.
