Hi everyone :)
I am heading to POP CENTURY RESORT in 4 weeks and I was wondering if anyone knew what the reusable cups look like right now??? I was there at Christmas and I was wondering if it was the same cup so I didnt have to buy another one!

I thought the same thing! Well all good things must come to an end when someone needs to voice their opinion and tell others how to raise their kids :brick:

Or people can't just leave things alone and instead have some need to justify that they are a good parent... on the internet. It can be viewed several ways, but no matter what it got way off topic.

I never stated an opinion about taking kids out of school because of that reason. There is plenty of arm chair parenting that goes on in this forum but people can just as easily just let things go but most cannot.

Now back to the discussion! Re using resort cups doesn't hurt anyone. I wouldn't do it because I would feel dishonest if I did it. Some people can do things like that and not think about it, I cannot. Even though Disney had more money and power that anyone could ever dream to have but its still their property and their rules. Losing out on my money will not harm them at all but that doesn't give me the right to pretend the rule isn't there.

Ok i have to chime in now. Earlier this year we stayed at CSR. THey had their own resort specfic cup long after all others disappeared. We we brought back out CSR mug, low and behold they finally changed over to the generic mugs. Well the wife and I looked at each other and decided to give it a try to see if they would let us use our old mugs. We were sat down by a manager who saw us carrying the mugs and he said nothing. Our two different waitresses who served our table kept filling and refilling the mugs without a second thought.

We did end up buying the new mugs later in the trip and we continue to use the mugs until they change the design, then we buy new ones. Coming from a family who travels to WDW up to 3 times a year, it is crazy to spend approx 60 dollars on new mugs each trip.

Now I will stand back and watch the flames shoot at me.:lookaroun

When you put it that way... I can't see getting a new mug if you go back more than once a year. It does seem silly to spend so much. I guess for someone that goes maybe once every 2 years or so I can't say that I deel like I deserve to use that mug for more than my trip.

Wow this got way out of hand..It started out as a simple question, turned into a couple of pages of genius comedy and then to a "I'm a better parent than you" discussion...let me say this and then in the words a PP FLAME ON :fork:

  • I did REUSE CUPS

  • I AM taking my child out of Pre-K to go

  • I PLAN on taking my child out WHENEVER I WANT..she's mine..bought and paid for with blood, sweat, tears (mainly her's..lol) and 12 hours of labor...The government has NO right to dictate how I raise my child..they aren't paying or supporting her..
  • I agree with the other PP..we are traveling to China, Japan, France, Italy, Germany and yes even Canada :)shrug: ha ha ha)

  • I believe NO SCORE soccer is STUPID..if you don't lose, then how do you learn and get better ??? :drevil:
And for the PP that brought up my ironic posting about spelling and then caught me spelling bcuz.... oops !!! LOL !!! :sohappy::sohappy:

This is supposed to a be a fun, informative place to talk and post funny stories, ideas and ask questions..not be harassed bcuz we choose to live different..Did Wife Swap not teach us anything ????

When I was young, no idea what age, my family and I were staying at the GF, they had a cast member - an older gentleman - working the elevator and he and I had some discussions about the construction of WDW. I was always fascinated with construction, he informed my parents about a way for me to meet some "imagineers" while at WDW and they set that up. Some years later I graduated school and became a construction project manager and did that for the last 12 years.

Now I did see a downturn in the economy and the construction industry coming, so I got out and went to the oil industry, no doubt as a result of Exxon's sponsorship of WoE which I saw while my parents had me out of school.

To top it all off one of my favorite passtimes and hobbies is being a pyrotechnician, which of course started at Illuminations while I was a child. I became fascinated with fireworks and seeing that show and have been hooked ever since. Due to that I am now able to shoot professional shows in several states.

And of course the entire time this story has been unfolding I have my trusty mug bought many moons ago by my side the entire way! ;)
