Coronado Springs is so quiet and laid back i have been there 5 times so far and it hasnt let me down. the busses there run better than any other resort that i have stayed.

I've stayed at all three (P.O. Riverside, not FQ), and I've decided I like Riverside the best....next time we'll either be back at Riverside or perhaps we'll try the French Quarter.

We made the choice of Carribean Beach Resort (CBR) based on what it had to offer as a moderate resort for families. I have read the Coronado is more conventioners hang-out. As for Orleans, I have not heard anything bad about them but we chose CBR based on reviews and tips we had heard/read.

I have a friend who has stayed at the CBR & the Coronado.
They liked the CBR much better. For them the theme was more enjoyable & they felt there was more for their small child. (2 y/o)

I have never stayed in any of the ones you have mentioned, but have always wanted to try the CBR; I just can't get anyone else to agree with me.

I've stayed at all four (including both Riverside and French Quarter separately).

Coronado was nice, but we had terrible Guest Service and haven't been back since.

Caribbean Beach is phenomenal, the extras (boats, pools, etc.) are great and the food court has a nice atmosphere.

Riverside is also great. Relaxed and charming, it really is a pleasant place to stay.

But, I'd have rate French Quarter my favorite, overall. The layout and setting is very appealing and the pool is awesome. The food court is great. (Beignets!) The boat to the marketplace (at Riverside as well) is just an added bonus. Honestly, I'd have to say FQ is my favorite resort overall.

But that's just my $.02.

We just got back from CBR and it was so nice! It was very laid back and I loved having a beach to lay out on. I haven't stayed st the other resorts you mentioned but I don't have any bad things to say about CBR. It's a phenomenal resort!

Heading for the great escape.
We thought of Caribean beach this time after all the good things we had read. POR is excellent and Id have no hesitation in staying there again and though ive not stayed there Ive walked around a photographed French Quarter a couple of times and it to looks a very nice resort.

In 2 weeks, I am staying at Coronado Springs for these reasons:

1. When the discount codes came out, Coronado Springs was the only moderate resort I could book at the reduced price as it was the last to sell out.

2. When other moderates opened up later, they were only available at the higher price.

3. My teenaged daughter got online and looked at the pool and forbade me to change locations! All 4 kids love the dig site pool

4. I am told the bus transportation is better than other resorts because fewer CS guests (conventioneers) use buses to go to the parks.

5. My travel agent had stayed in Coronado Springs in February and gave me some pointers on how to make it a great place for my crew.

6. Belle linked me up to these websites:
http://www.wdwmemories.com/csr/ and
http://coronado_springs.tripod.com/

7. Lastly, once when I was staying at an All Star resort, I saw the Coronado Springs as it was completing construction and thought it looked cool. Ever since then, I've wanted to check it out, but never have.

I'll let you know how CS worked out when I get back. Good luck!

I would stay with Caribbean Beach, as I had for 12 previous vacations.

Coronado Springs does seem more geared to conventioneers, and I would not ever stay there b/c I love the conveniences of a foodcourt, yet do not want to pay an extra charge for gratuities. That's a rip off, annoying, and unnecessary.

PO French Quarter is too small for me, all being on one side of a lake. I know that you can explore "upriver," but it jsut isnt for me.

PO Riverside and Caribbean Beach are very similar in layout, design, and amenities. Tose are my top two picks. Just pick the theme that you feel you would enjoy most, antebellum South or tropical Islands. When I go to sunny Florida, I want the tropics and thus enjoy the ambiance, beaty, and relaxation of Caribbean Beach, and its better location of feeling more connected--you can see/hear segments of Illuminations and view SpaceShip Earth. And remember that Riverside is going down for rehab soon (so it might be needed) and that PO FQ just finished rehab, and Caribbean Beach did a tad over a year ago.

I would shy away form Coronado for its pay extra foodcourt. BLAH!

Thanks for the tips everybody! It's so hard to make a decision based on brochures, so the inside scoop is much appreciated!

BTW we decided on CBR - mostly because my husband likes the idea of seeing Spaceship Earth from a beach.
Men... go figure!?!?.:p
