Reservations Close to Park Opening

I'm sorry if there is a thread already about this, but I was wondering how early your breakfast reservation has to be to get into the park before opening.

I just booked a breakfast for our February trip at 9:10, which I know is after park opening, but so close that waiting to get in with the herd would probably cause us to be late. With our reservation being so close to park opening, would we be able to enter before "rope drop" or would we have to wait? I know you can get in early if your reservation is BEFORE opening, but I am unclear on a situation like this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks. I know with other reservations, we generally get there a good15-20 minutes before (although we still had to wait 45 minutes after our reservation time at Boatwright's a few years ago).

When we had breakfast at CP before the park opened, there was a separate line for those with breakfast reservations to go through so they could enter the park before hours.

At the time we went (2013), they did not even bother to check for a reservation or a confirmation # or anything and we just got into the park. If this is how it still works then you should have no problem--just look for the separate line for those with early/pre-hour breakfast reservations.

However, if they do start checking reservations and times of those trying to get into that line, it's hard to say whether they would allow you in a little early or not, but I personally would think they would for anything in the 9am-9:15am range.

When we had a 9:15 Akershus ADR, we wondered the same thing. They said to arrive 15 minutes early. We had no problem going in a little bit before park open, and they did check our reservation. We were at the WS entrance.

I was really shocked when they did not check out reservation or our names or anything when we went to CP. Of course, that was 2013 and not a recent experience, but I thought to myself that anyone--reservation or not--could have made their way into the park if they knew the 'system'. I had my confirmation paper in my pocket and was ready for them to ask for it but they never did.

Yep, I've been there lots of times when that's been the case too. I have my confirmation and everything, and they just wave us through. I actually think Akershus was one of the only times I can remember them checking. I guess you never know what you're going to get. :)

I booked a 9:10 Pirates League appointment for my daughter and the Disney rep on the phone told me to go to the breakfast line for early entry so we would have time to make it back to Pirates, so Im sure you should also enter early for breakfast.

Turns out this won't be an issue after all. Got back online last night and was able to get an 8:00 reservation, so I will definitely be getting in early.

Really excited about it because we have never done Tusker House. Doing a lot of table service meals during our September trip, but only doing a few places for our February trip (it is definitely not common for us to go this often... We haven't been since our honeymoon in 2011).
