I tried to get reservations for one of the All Stars for next week Oct. 8-13. Said all were full and sent me to Wilderness, said moderates were full also. At this time of year I don't see how that can be so! Does anyone know anything about this?
Please let me know.

Most of the resorts are full during your time period because of-

A) Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
B) Food and Wine Fest
C) Columbus Day

and D)....................................

MEDIA PRESS EVENT.

I suggest an off-site resort in the Lake Buena Vista or International Drive area, most of them offer free transportation to and from the Disney parks.

Well, you shouldn't wait until the last minute to make reservations during such a busy period, but there is a way. I just checked and was able to reserve the All Stars for the period you mentioned. PM me and I'll tell you how to get the reservation without any extra costs.

I usually book 2-3 months ahead of time:cool: except for Christmas/New Years I book 5-6 months out:D

For my trip last week I called CRO and tried to get Movies. No dice.:( However I called AAA and not only got Movies but got it at a 20% discount:sohappy:

When I checked in I ask why CRO could not give me Movies and was told it was because AAA and other travel companies had large blocks of rooms booked:lookaroun

So there is a way:) Keep trying as in addition to the above there may be cancelations as the 8th is still more than 5 days away.

As Woody said there are ways.

I KNOW THERE ARE A LOT OF THINGS GOING ON BUT WE GO THIS TIME EVERY YEAR AND HAVE NEVAER AHD A PROBLEM WITH RESERVATIONS. I WAS WONDERING IF THEY WERE HOLDING BACK SOME ROOMS BECAUSE OF ECONOMY OR IF IT IS JUST THAT CROWDED THIS YEAR.

(sorry about caps)

Yep, I'd agree with that assesment on FTP. I'm thinking it's done very well for Disney. I know we liked the savings since we always stay for 7, so it was a no brainer, and it's costing less this year than last.

I'm just hoping the over all crowds are not any more significant than normal for October, even though the resorts will probebly be a bit more crowded.
