I will be making reservations for Mamma Melrose and I want to be there BEFORE Fantasmic starts...for the dining package? (my first time so bear with me). If the show starts at 830..what time should I make dinner reservations at the restaurant? Thanks for all the help!

As not to feel rushed in dinner or getting over to the theather I would not make them for any later than 6:30. About an hour for dinner and a nice stroll over to the theater to get in line with the rest of those with special seating.

I too booked the Fantasmic Dinner Package and couldn't get anything past 5 PM, and mine was for Mamma Melrose.

These Fantasmic dinner package reservations go quickly, so be sure to book early. I also couldn't book Mama Melrose past 5. The latest we got was at 3:45, with the show at 9.

You can dine anytime- they give you your passes during your meal and you go to the entrance down from the general admission entrance at the appropriated time.
GREAT CHOICE!

The latest dinner reservation available for the Fantasmic package is 5 pm. You need to book right at your 180 day window in order to get the latest times. They get booked very quickly. Have fun!

That's not true. You can only choose your ADR time within the parameters that Disney sets. You can'y just pick any time you want, it has to be between the times that THEY set.

Lunch at DHS sucks, so I usually go with a late lunch/early dinner time (like 2:00), then grab a snack of some sort before the show later in the evening.

Are you sure you have the Fantasmic package, or is it just a dinner reservation? F! packages are not available that late... You might want to check on that.

Really? What do you mean? I made the reservations for that time...that doesn't mean I can go to the Fantasmic show from there? Please let me know, I never did this before! Thanks

You can still go to Fantasmic, you just won't have a voucher for the dinner package reserved seating section. You'll have to wait in the standby line, which depending on how busy it is, could mean a wait of an hour or more.

They should have taken a credit card number to hold things for you if they didnt then no Fantasmic package. There is no additional charge for the package itself. However, the package, which includes the Fantasmic! seating pass, MUST be guaranteed at the time of booking with a credit card, and a $10 cancellation fee applies if not cancelled at least 48 hours beforehand

I agree that you couldn't have booked the Fantasmic Dinner Package two hours before showtime.

If it's even a moderately crowded day then you won't get in to see Fantasmic, or if you get in, chances are you won't have a seat.

Now, this can change from day to day, but there are many times even during slow seasons when people start lining up about 2 hours before the show starts.

For people with the Fantasmic Dinner Package, if they don't show up 45 minutes before showtime then they give up their reserved seats.

I was there during a very slow time (early February, still "Value" season as far as resort rates go), and by 1 hour before showtime they announced that it was standing room only.

Your mileage may vary. For every experience like mine there are experiences where people walked in and got decent seats 5 minutes before showtime ... you just can't plan on that.
