Indeed. Also worth mentioning that APs are already using the new system. Seems like the old FP+ system (Guaranteed Experience Pass) might be coming to an end.

The resort a few miles down I-4 is already having a field day making sure visitors know how much easier and relaxed it is to book a vacation there instead of Disney. This would just be the tip of the iceberg.

This. My husband and I are very excited to be going to Uni in November. I'm seriously considering not making a Disney stop at all. It's too constricting, confusing, and blatantly obvious they don't need our money.

Its a novel idea.. Being able to just show up at at a theme park and being allowed to buy a ticket and walk in.

I’m guessing the “some” is resort guests. I wouldn’t expect them to throw any bones to local AP’s, a herd they clearly want to cull.

Does that make their hotel prices worth the much higher rates they charge on average? For me, not even close. But then again short of a Uni style "guests at certain resorts get a fast pass" (which I know will never happen) I see no value in their resorts at the prices they charge.

I tend to agree with you. I can only see AP benefits being cut, definitely not added.
